All conductive connectors are push-in with no tools required, creating a seamless look. The transformers convert line voltage into 12 or 24 volt power and are protected by fast-acting circuit breakers. The safe-to-touch low voltage output powers Monorail Wall systems up to 300 watts for 12 volt or 600 watts for 24 volt lamps. Compatible dimmers are connected on the line voltage side of transformers. Some buzzing may occur at low levels and may be reduced with a de-buzzing coil (p. 196). All 12 volt remote transformers are LED compatible with 12 volt AC LEDs.
