3 Panosee is the new panoramic view software, for the panoramic camera monitor system manage, configure, real time preview and the original circle video unwrap, support the HM, HF, LF, EF series of the panoramic cameras. 1. Minimum system requirement 1.1 Software Operating system: Windows XP SP3, Windows 7; Operating system patch: Please make sure the Microsoft.Net Framework has been installed, or the PanoSee couldn t run normally. You could download the.net Framework installer from the Microsoft download center or get it from the CD attached with the camera shipment box. Operating system setting: If run error under window 7, please set the compatibility mode and privilege level as below and try again. 1.2 Hardware CPU: 2GHz or above. RAM: 2GB or above. Hard Disk: >100GB. Resolution: 1920x1080(recommend).1024x768 above. 1.3 Supporting device list Panoramic camera: Puwell s all series panoramic camera. About the third part s supporting device list, please contact Puwell for the detail information

4 2. Panosee install Click Next go to next step Select I Agree, click the Next - 4 -

5 Set the install path, and select the Panosee user, the click the Next Confirm the installation, click Next to start the Panosee installation

6 Panosee installing, waiting the Panosee installation finished. Panosee installation is complete, click the Close to finish. 3. Panosee instruction This is the window when the first time running the Panosee

7 First running window At the top middle is the menu bar, there are 3 buttons to enter different display windows: Menu Bar Preview window: for the video live preview; Replay window: for the video replay; Config window: for software setting and the device management; At the top right corner is the tool bar. Tool bar ENG/ 中文 : Click to change the language between the Chinese and English. Message : Click to show the system message. Fullscreen : Click to full screen the preview window. Splitscreen : Click to change the different split screen mode. Time : Show the system date and time

8 Device list At the top left is the device list, shows all the devices that have been added. At the down left is the PTZ control menu and the Video Configuration information. PTZ control menu PTZ Control: Zoom: to modify the zoom of the PTZ camera, the panoramic camera not supports the zoom function. Focus: to modify the focus of the panoramic camera. Iris: the panoramic camera not supports this function. PTZ Speed: to set and modify the PTZ camera s speed Video Config menu - 8 -

9 Video Config: Drag to modify the video brightness, contrast and the saturation and hue. Click the default, all the parameter will back to the original setting. 4. Config 4.1 Add new device/area Click the Config ---> Device setting, then right click,it will popup the menu. Device configuration menu Add new area Click the Add new area to add the new area, input the area name and click confirm

10 Add local device Add remote device Device name: input the device name. Device IP Address: input the device IP address to add the local device. Input the website address to add the remote device, Panosee will auto fill the IP address of the website. Device port: input the new device s IP port. The local device IP port of the panoramic camera is default Please confirm the device port No. when adding the remote device. Root: show the area that the new device that have been added. User: the user account to manage the new device, default is admin. Password: the user account s password, default is Online device: it will display all the online devices, please select or double click the device that wants to be added. After selected the device, the device IP address and IP port will be filled automatically, but it still need to input the device name, user account and the password. And on the right side, it will show the network information of the selected device, and it also could modify it by click the Modify button. And the new information will be active after the input the administrator password

11 Online device After all the information have been filled, click Confirm, it will pop up a message whether the device added successfully or failed. If failed, please according the message to check the IP address, port, user account, password is correct or not, and the device is online or not. 4.2 Delete device Select the device or area in device list under the Config window, right click the device or area then click the Delete node in the popup menu to delete the device or area. Warning: If delete the area node, all the devices under the area will be deleted

12 4.3 Local setting Local setting is to configure the Panosee parameter of the video and picture save. Local setting Basic Setting: Record interval:set the video record interval time. Screen Capture: default setting is saved as the JPEG format, otherwise the picture will saved as bmp format. Path Setting: Set the saving path of the captured picture and video. The default path is C:\. Multi Screen Setting: Multi Screen setting When using multi screen, it will shows the multi screen information, and the software will auto support the expand display mode. Return: return back to the live preview window. 5. Preview The default window after the Panosee start running is the real time preview window, or you could enter or return the preview window to click the Preview on the top menu bar or the Return under the other windows

13 5.1 Live preview Start preview: select one preview sub window, then select one device on the left side device list. Double click it, the video will display on the window after few seconds. First running window Live preview It is the Sub stream preview when the first time open. Right click the selected device, and it will pop up the menu. Click the Main Stream to change to the main stream preview. After change, it need to reopen the preview window, then the preview video will be the main stream

14 Stop preview: right click the sub preview window, click the Stop Preview. Full screen preview: right click the sub preview window, click the Full Screen. Float window: right click the sub preview window, click the Float Window

15 Float window Property setting: right click the sub preview window, click the Property will popup this window. Property setting Only the panoramic camera will display all the information of this window, the standard camera or the PTZ camera just display the basic information and the RS485 information. Basic information setting: please select the correct camera type for the selected device. RS485 setting: for the RS485 communication, Panosee will auto read the device RS485 information. Panoramic setting:

16 1. Panoramic camera type: please select the correct panoramic camera mode of the selected device. 2. Video format: default is YUV420-PLANAR. 3. Center setting: set the panoramic camera parameters. 5.2 Center setting Center setting The center setting is to initiate the panoramic camera s video center. The panoramic video center has been set before the panoramic camera leave the factory, and each camera s video center is not same. But the video center maybe changed during the long time using, so Panosee could reset the panoramic video center. After click the Center Setting, it will pop up a setting window. First select at least 6 points(red point) at the panoramic circle video edge by the mouse left key, then click Calculate, Panosee will auto calculate the center, when the center calculate finished, click Save to save the new center parameter. If the point select being deviation, please remove the point by the mouse wheel, then select and calculate again, because the video center will affect the panoramic video unwrapping

17 6. Unwrap Under the live preview and the playback mode, the original panoramic video could be unwrapped to different view modes. (Only the panoramic cameras support this function) 6.1 Unwrap mode There are 5 different unwrapping modes. Unwrap mode The unwrap mode have 6 different modes, they are the 360 panorama view mode 2x180 horizontal view mode 2x180 vertical view mode 4x90 quadrant view mode Longitude and latitude view mode Full view mode(only support the unwrap out form)

(Only support the unwrap out form) 6.2 DPTZ DPTZ, Digital PTZ function, could make the panorama video displayed fitting user s visual habit. And the each sub video window is capable of remote directional and zoom control independently by the mouse

24 6.3 VFrame(Minimap) VFrame, Vision frame, let the user correspond the unwrapped DPTZ video with panorama video by the same frame color, and help user to find out the position of the target scene quickly. Each sub video window frame has different color, and corresponding to the same color frame in the middle 360 degree panorama view. And the user could drag the color frame to any position of the panorama view, then the same color sub video window will show the video of the position. VFrame Minimap 6.4 Unwrap setting The default unwrap is the unwrap in form mode, the panoramic video will unwrap in the sub preview window

Playback Click the Playback button to enter the playback window. 7.1 Remote file playback Remote file playback is playback the video files that saved on the DVR, NVR and remote devices. Search the remote video files: At first, select the device/channel on the left side, then click the search at the bottom, it will auto start to search the video file of the selected device/ channel that saved on the DVR/NVR/remote devices, and list the search results

27 Remote file playback: select the searched and listed video file and double click to playback. Lock and unlock the video file: the locked video file will not be auto covered. Select the video file then click the lock button, the selected video file will be locked and the property of the video file will show it is locked. Similarly, you could unlock the locked file by click the unlock button. Download file: it could download the selected remote video file to the local. Video Unwrap: Please refer to the chapter 6 Unwarp. Center setting: Please refer to the chapter 5.2 Center Setting. Playback control toolbar: from the left to right, there are the play/pause, stop, speedup, slowdown, capture picture, to the beginning, to the end, mute, volume, and the playback progress bar.(to the beginning and to the end is not supported yet) 7.2 Local file playback Local file playback is playback the video files that saved on the local computer. Open the local file to playback. Open file: click the open and popup a browser window to open the local saved video files. Local playback: select the video file and double click it to start the video playback. And it also will show the video file s information, like the path, size. Video Unwrap: Please refer to the chapter 6 Unwarp. Center setting: Please refer to the chapter 5.2 Center Setting. Playback control toolbar: from the left to right, there are the play/pause, stop, speedup, slowdown, capture picture, to the beginning, to the end, mute, volume, and the playback progress bar. (to the beginning and to the end is not supported yet) Return: return back to the live preview window

28 8. FAQ 1. Q: Why run the Panosee error after the installation? A: Please check if the Microsoft.Net framework has been correct installed. And if under window 7 system, please check the compatibility mode. Refer to the chapter 1.1 Software. 2. Q: How to solve the Panosee software conflict with the antivirus software? A: Please set the Panosee is the safe software in the antivirus software. 3. Q: Why the display is abnormal when running the Panosee? A: Please check the resolution, 1920x1080 is recommended. 4. Q: Why the Panosee could find the online devices when adding the device? A: Please check if the WinPcap has been installed correctly. If already been installed, please try to uninstall it, and install the Winpcap again. 5: Q: Why the VFrame(minimap) couldn t drag to the appointed position? A: Please check if the camera type is configured correctly in the property setting. 6: Q: Why it doesn t work when modify the focus function? A: Please check and set the RS485 bit rate in the property to
