24 NiceWay Sensor Via radio sun, temperature and internal luminosity sensor. Opens and closes automated solar screens to control the level of ambient lighting. Comfort + Environmental friendliness = Savings The NiceWay Sensor is also ideal for increasing the thermal effi ciency of the house, reducing the effects of sunlight in hot climates and taking maximum advantage of it in cold climates so as to assure energy savings and reductions in polluting emissions. The NiceWay Sensor measures the lighting condition while ignoring peak values caused for example by people s shadows or rapidly moving clouds. The NiceWay Sensor is able to control the opening of shutters and sun awnings so as to maintain the level of sunlight or ambient lighting within the desired limits. It automatically sends closure commands if the light is too strong or opening commands if the light is too weak. The WMS01ST model can regulate ambient temperature by controlling the movement of the automation on the basis of the temperature value measured in the room. Two versions: WMS01S, with Sun + Ambient Light sensor WMS01ST with Sun + Ambient Light + Temperature sensor. Compatible with all Nice motors. It can be installed anywhere: on the window, using the transparent support provided, or anywhere in the room: the NiceWay Sensor is compatible with all NiceWay series supports. Operating modes Window-mounting: the sensor positioned on the window measures light only via the rear detector, which is oriented towards the outside, automatically controlling the opening/closure movements of the screening device, or only closure. Wall or stand-on installation inside room: the sensor positioned inside the room detects the luminosity only on the front, therefore considering the effective lighting including artifi cial light. This allows it to give commands when direct light arrives at or leaves the area inside the room in which it is positioned. The Demo mode converts the reaction time from minutes as normally used into seconds to obtain an immediate response from the NiceWay Sensor during the confi guration and testing stages. 25 Light Sensor Version Thanks to the suction cup support, it can be stuck on the window at a specifi c height. The sensor detects the level of internal brightness, compares it with the set brightness value and automatically adjusts the shutter opening or closing accordingly. For instance, when the brightness exceeds the maximum set threshold, the sensor lowers the automations (awnings or shutters) until the sensor is shaded. Once the sensor is in the shade, the shutter rises until it is in the light once more, enabling it to keep monitoring the brightness level. Planotime automatically regulates at the changing time of sunrise and sunset by simply inserting the latitude when you fi rst program the unit! 2. Random: it opens and closes the shutters at random within a pre-establish time range to make it appear that someone is at home when you are absent, thus discouraging break-in attempts. 3. 101 The Nice laboratory is 370 m 2 in area and boasts state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation. RF 3m semi-anechoic chamber For immunity tests, to check products immunity to the electromagnetic fi elds generated by other devices, and emission tests (to check that the electric fi eld disturbances emitted by the product remain within the limits set by the standards). The environment is completely screened against possible disturbance from outside. The chamber s insulation allows performance of emission and immunity tests up to 18 GHz. Saline mist The saline mist chamber is designed to test the product by simulating a salt-rich environment. Acoustic chamber For checking products noise emissions: this test reduces products noise levels, especially for products installed inside homes (e.g. motors for garage doors, awnings and rolling shutters). Chamber for tests against dust penetration This chamber, which contains talcum powder in suspension, is used to measure the product s degree of IP protection and check that the amount of powder entering the product does not exceed a given threshold, or is equal to zero. Climatic chambers The toughest climates in terms of temperature and humidity are simulated in the climatic chamber to check products safety and operation in extreme conditions. The largest chamber s considerable size allows real automation systems to be tested.
