3 1. Introduction Endura/Pelco system Pelco designs, develops and manufactures video security systems, including high-definition IP-camera s. From AEOS version 2.4.5, Nedap integrated the Pelco Endura Server, to make it possible to show the recorded video stream from Pelco related to an event in the AEOS front end Principle The Pelco Endura Server is integrated in AEOS up from The integration consists of Pelco cameras configured and attached to the Pelco server. Together with Responses to events in AEOS it is possible to react on an certain event and jump to the timestamp of the configured event. For example when an unauthorized badge is presented, you can go to this timestamp and watch the Pelco recorded video. The recording of the Pelco cameras is configured on the Pelco Server Schematics LAN/WAN network 230VAC AEOS Server dfa Web clients AEpu Doors Endura server In general, the AEOS server communicates (using the IP network) with the AEpu. The Pelco camera is configured and attached to a separate server, the Endura server. The Pelco camera communicates with: The Endura server The AEOS server makes a connection to the Pelco Camera. General questions + answers Facts: - The live view from the Pelco camera can be shown in AEOS Faces (this can be in the VideoFace and in other Faces) - For retrieving the recorded camera streams the Responses to Events option in AEOS is used. This Response to Event is used for the link between the AEOS event and the recorded video stream on the Endura server. - Recorded video can be shown from: o Event monitor, by clicking on the > sign at the beginning of the Details column o Investigate eventlog, by clicking on the (i) at the first column These indication will only be shown if there is data available Questions and answers: Q 1. Is it possible to activate recording on the Pelco camera from the AEOS VideoFace? No, recording from the video face is not implemented. Recording is fully handled by Pelco. Life images however can be shown (as most IP-cameras) in the VideoFace and the other Faces. Q 2. What licenses are needed The Pelco integration is license free, but the necessary Response to events are licensed. Pro camera from where the recorded images must be reviewed in AEOS is one Response to event needed. At this Response to event several AEOS events can be linked. Pelco cameras integrated with AEOS This is a short description to integrate the Endura/Pelco system into AEOS (supported in AEOS 2.4.5) Install Device spy First you need to download an open source tool to find the UID (Unique device name) of the Endura cameras. With the link below you can download a tool: and click on: Developer Tools for UPnP Technologies v Install the Developer Tools for UPnP Technologies v.0.0.xx. 6 In the first screen, select the corresponding camera from the list of devices, then you need to use the + sign to select the name of the camera again. Now you see the Unique device name which is necessary to configure the camera in AEOS (see the highlighted blue on the right of the screen below) Configuring the camera in AEOS: Log-in on AEOS and go to Adminstration Faces Cameras and create a new camera. Select type Endura Camera and New First give the camera a Name and optional is a Description. The Hostname is the name or IP of the Pelco Endura Server. 7 The UUID is the unique ID (Unique device name) of the camera. The Stream type is depending on the camera, this can be H264 or Mpeg4. Username & Password is not needed Recording The recording of the camera s is handled by Pelco, not by AEOS. By using Response to Event in AEOS we can jump directly to a recorded stream when we activate the link belong to this specific event Configuring Response to event Log-in on AEOS and go to Configuration Responses Response to event and click new. Then select Show Video Info (http) as response type: In the URL Field enter the following information: urltemplate= ffset=180000&aepu=%h&aebc=%n&timestamp=%t,dateformat=msutc nvc1883 is the AEOS server name cameraconfig is the camera config name, created in AEOS (in this example the name of camera is Pelco1) offset is the offset to search for events in milliseconds ( miliseconds = 3 minutes). Where AEOS starts to search is the currenttime-offset and the end of the search is the currenttime+offset. The currenttime is the time as been generated by the event. aepu is the host name from where the event is sent. aebc is the aebc-component from where the event is sent. timestamp is the event time. After that, select the additional event information at the bottom of the screen (which AEbc type, Event, additional event information) to configure when a response must be triggered. In this case when an Unauthorized badge is presented at the nvc1883aepu1x-2readers.1 the response will be triggered. Click add, then click OK to save this response. Showing recorded data by Events Now open the Event monitor and present an unauthorized badge: If you see the small > in front of the details, this indicates that for this event additional information is available. Click on the event details and the camera window will open: If you click play, you will see 6 minutes of recorded video. This timing can be adjusted in the response to event. You can change to live view by clicking the live button Showing recorded data by event log In AEOS at Monitor Events - View log you will now see an (i) icon in front of the results when there is additional information available for this event.
