To reduce possibility of fire and damage, please keep device away of humidity, water, or direct heat (radiator, oven) 1. Basic informations 1.1. Description of device FVK 41 EZS is GSM dialer with mobile phone designed for transfer predefined informations by GSM network. This device enables to inform user about alarm system status, or any other device which is connected to GSM dialer Possibilities of use FVK 41 EZS is very universal device and enables: 1. protection of property when the device is connected with alarm system it can send messages about alarm or inform you about system status (by voice or SMS message) 2. remote control (you can manage elektrical appliances by SMS) 3. monitoring of technological devices GSM dialer can inform you about electrical blackout, heating system status 4. emergency calls in case of calamity it is able to contact relatives or friends of sick or older peoples. 5. Installation FVK 41 EZS never install into another metal box without connecting to external antenna. (Inbuilt wire antenna cannot work in such condition). In case of using metal box you have to use external antenna. We recomend to use external antenna also on places with weak signal. Terminal board T A (Tamper) 0, +13 input of DC voltage 12 V I1, I2, I3, I4 inputs C- common inputs (connect to +13V, or connect to earth, according to condicions. Err error output (switches to 0V by starting dailer, by weak GSM network signal, or by dropout of GSM modul). In EZS mode functionate as siren output. NO, C, NC - terminals relay output control device. Attention!!! During installation turn off dialer and take off SIM card too. Verify if electrical wires are connected to proper connector. On SIM card it is necessary to turn off PIN code protection or set the PIN code on 0000 value (four x zero)! Insert SIM card to any mobile phone and turn it on. If card requires PIN code, enter it. In mobil phone settings find security setup and turn off PIN protection or set the PIN on SIM card is now ready for use. Turn off the phone and take off SIM card. Number of SMS centre of mobile phone operator must be set on SIM card (all nowadays sold SIM cards have this default number from operator) 4

5 3. Activation of device First insert SIM card in slot, afterwards connect supply voltage 12 V on terminal +13V and OV. Please NEVER manipulate with SIM card when supply voltage (AC power and/or backup battery) is connected! Activaton FVK 41 EZS 1. Insert SIM card into communicator 2. Use switch Dial/Alarm system on dialer board to choose if you want use FVK 41 EZS as a dialer or as alarm system (OFF dialer, ON - -Alarm system). 3. Connect programming cable into Prog connector and to free COM-port at your Computer. 4. Connect DC power. Red LED on dialer board begin to flash in 0,5 sec. interval. 5. Start computer program Programmer FVK 41 EZS. Detailed description of programming is in 4. chapter of this manual 6. When you finish process of configuration from PC, wait on its saving in dialer memory (red LED must flash slowly in 0,5 sec intervals). 7. Disconnect programming cable from Prog conector. Dialer will restarting with new configuration. 8. Signalization of system start: red LED continually illuminate (shine), green LED flash once a second. After registration in GSM network will green LED flash once per 3 sec. When start is over, turn off red LED. If the dialer is not registrated in GSM network in 60 sec, disconnect supply voltage (DC power), control SIM settings (PIN must by turn off, or set on value 0000), and control if SIM card is inserted properly in slot. 9. When red LED turn off the dialer is ready to use. If you choose Alarm system mode by switch, this switch is now in position ON Signalization of status by LED diode Green LED: Once a 1econd seeking GSM network Once per 3 seconds registration in GSM network Red LED: Permanently shine - if dialer starts, call, or send SMS Flash slowly (0,5 per sec.) if is in programming mode device is connected by programming cable Flash quick (0,2 per sec.) data from PC are being saved or reading to/from dialer EEPROM 5

6 Status SMS Serves as a control mechanism of GSM dialer functionality. FVK 41 Alarm system can periodically (in default interval) send SMS on mobile phone and thereby confirm that it is working properly, have connection, in which mode are inputs and output. By this programme it is possible set interval of days, time and numbers of phones which receives SMS. Message contains actual status of inputs, relay controlled output status, intensity of GSM signal (0-9), power supply on terminals of dialer and status of inputs and outputs. In case you want to know actual status of dialer, you have to send an SMS with text? from a number recorded in list Telephone numbers for sending Status SMS. You will get SMS with all informations listed above (output status, signal, credit ) When you back-up system with accumulator dialer send you SMS about dropout of electrical supply, about its restoration and about discharge of back-up accumulator. SMS remote control FVK 41 EZS is equipped with relay output which is possible control by GSM network by sending SMS. When you turn on device first time output is set to status NO and is assigned only for switching of low electrical power up to 25 V/1A. Control messages for controlling of output and telephone numbers from which will be possible control of output is possible to set in configuration PC program. In mode security control panel is status Set on/set off controlled per SMS. Messages which will control status Set on/set off and telephone numbers for controlling of output is also possible to define in configuration PC program. SMS from inputs When you activate inputs and after its deactivation it is possible to send SMS to 1-8 numbers independently for each input. You can define telephone numbers and text of SMS in configuration PC program. If you don t want to send SMS after deactivation, please let this particular field in program blank (without any account). Communication with Centralized quarding desk (CGD) Central Monitoring Station CMS For transfer of messages to Centralized guarding desk (at the police station, or private security firm) we use normal pulse format 4+2, 10 bps (slow), without parity. If you want to use transfer to CGD set always both telephone numbers of CGD in configuration program (if dialer can not dial firs number after 20 sec. it starts to dial second number of CGD and codes of events which you want to transfer. Event without code will be not transferred to CGD. (If you for example don t want to transfer blackout of power supply, do not fill this field in program). If you set code of automatic test of connection with CGD, it will be sent every 24 hours at 00:00. Codes Set on/set off are being transferred only in mode of Alarm system, in dialer mode you don t have to fill this code. 6

7 Voice messages Voice messages serves for transfer of event from input to fix telephone line or for quick warning on mobile phone. They are transferred by only activation of inputs 1-4, warnings like low credit, blackout of electric etc. and deactivation of inputs are send only by SMS. If it is not possible to make connection up to 20 sec. dialer tries to dial other numbers. After dialing all numbers, it will try to dial only those numbers which it was not able to contact at first dialing. Recording of voice message There are 4 voice messages, each for one input. They are recorded step by step for each input. Record all 4 messages also in case that you will use only one output! 1. Set the dialer inputs to standstill to avoid telephone calling attempts. 2. Connect electrical supply and wait unit dialer is ready (red LED must be off (no light), in this moment you cannot programming dialer from PC) 3. Press and hold button Tl 1 and speak message for 1 input. When red LED is on (shine), start talking. Release button Tl Press and hold button Tl 1 and speak message for 2 input. Release button Tl Continue in same way for inputs 3 a 4. Between recording of particular messages don t make longer pauses than 5 sec. If you want to delete recorded messages, press Tl 2, wait 10 seconds while red LED 3x flashes. Maximal length of all messages together is 60 seconds. Maximum for one message is 40 sec. If red LED goes off during recording it means that you have overpassed capacity of memory for this record. Please delete recorded messages and repeat recording with shorter message. Voice messages are stored in digital recorder with capacity 60 sec. and recorded messages remain in memory also when you disconnect electric supply. 7

8 4. Configuration program Starting program Copy program from CD to your hard disc to some directory and start program Description of main window Main window consists of several logical parts as: 1. Telephone numbers for sending SMS from inputs (on this numbers will be send SMS when input is activated and after deactivation) 2. Telephone numbers for outputs control (only from this numbers is possible to control output relay by default SMS. By sending SMS with text? you can verify status of certain relay, for which you have permission ) 3. Telephone numbers for voice messages (after activation of certain input dialer will call on this numbers and will play voice message recorded on certain input 4. Telephone numbers for sending status SMS (on this numbers will be send SMS which inform you about status of device, or you can found out status from this number) 5. Tel. numbers for monitoring (after calling from this numbers dialer pick up the call and enable to monitor (hear) or sounding of patrolled area. In mode security panel in case of actual alarm incoming call stops the alarm. This will not change status Set on 6. SMS (this SMS will be sent to you after activation of inputs, or after deactivation of inputs. If you don t want to receive SMS after deactivation do not fill this program field. 7. SMS for output control (by this SMS you can control output relay. By sending SMS with text defined in window On you can turn on output. By SMS from Off you turn off output. Texts of yours SMS must be exactly the same as the text defined in this window! You will be informed about realization of operation (turn on/off) by receiving SMS which contains the same text as sent and on the same number from which was SMS sent. -Telephone numbers of (CGD) - Centralized quarding desk (Tel. numbers of CGD, On this numbers will dialer send codes of events) -Code of object (code of object send to CGD) -Service codes (code of dropout of electric supply, recovering of supply, and code of automatic test send to CGD) - Activation of inputs (codes send to CGD when inputs are activated) - Deactivation of inputs (codes send to CGD after deactivation of inputs) - Type of input (choose type of input switch on/ switch off. When you choose switch on input will react on input of electrical supply. When you choose switch off input will react on dropout of electric supply. 8

9 4.3. How to work with program After starting the program it is necessary to set proper Port for communication computer with GSM dialer. Enter telephone numbers to proper fields (small widows). To this numbers will be sent SMS or calls. Write texts of SMS. You don t have to write text of status SMS and warning SMS (low credit, block-out of electric supply) because it is generated automatically. When you have set all numbers and data press button Send. Press button Send only in case that there is programming cable connected in Prog connector and red LED on dialer is flashing in 0,5 sec. interval. On your monitor you will see indicator of data transferring from PC to dialer and red LED start to flash in shorter interval. After finishing of this process transfer indicator disappears from monitor. Wait for saving of configuration in dialer memory (red LED on dialer board start to flash slowly in 0,5 sec. interval, green LED is off). Disconnect programming cable from dialer, red LED start to shine continually and after finishing of starting procedure LED is off dialer is now ready. If you have set at least one number for sending status SMS, dialer immediately sends you status SMS on set up numbers (SMS will contain the credit value XXXX, because amount of credit is actualized after sending an SMS). Your actual configuration is possible to save in your computer by pressing Save button), or you can import in computer saved configuration to program by pressing Open button. 9

Warranty This product are not designed, intended, authorized or warranted for use as component in systems or equipment intended for atomic energy, airplane or spaceship instruments, transportation instruments, or for other applications intended to support or sustain life. Furthermore, this product are not intended for applications wherein failure of product cold result or lead to a situation wherein personal injury, death or severe property or environmental damage could occur. Warranty letter is a document of purchaser rights according to. This warranty letter belongs to saled product of corresponding number. For every complain it is necessary to show this warranty letter to service center or sales representative. In your self interest save this document carefully! We provide 24 month warranty for our product from the sales date or product delivery (after presentation correctly filled and confirmed Warranty letter, purchase document or delivery note). Warranty doesn t cover damages originate from natural wear, its overcharge or incorrect handle (in discrepancy with installation manual). Damages originate in case of wrong material or incorrect technological process of production will be during your warranty removed for free, by repairing of product or by its replacement with new product of the same type. You can enforce requirements result from warranty only in case that non-functional product give back (send) to sales man or service center in disassemble form. Warranty shall not apply to defects, damages, losses or costs a/ resulting from improper or incomplete handling out of authorized service b/ their damages are caused by acts of God or other unexpected events c. the product is sent to service incomplete or dismounted d. defects are caused by non- compliance with manual. Seller is obliged to provide the customer complete packaged equipment. The guarantee form must contain the name of product, serial number and other identification data referring to the product. Guarantee form must be equipped by the datum of sales, shop stamp, signature of the seller. All these data must be given to the guarantee form immediately after the sale by undeletable way. Incompletely filled guarantee form with unjustified changing of original data content is invalid. 14
