6 Concept There is a convergence across markets on the use of GNSS as an enabler for new applications. The solution is a platform addressing LBS market and other application in emerging markets such as road. The value to market is to improve the efficiency of GNSS receivers (TTFF, accuracy), to benefit from EGNSS novelties (position authentication) and to propose standardized interface and API. 6

16 LBS product legacy Location Based Services were offered by NMOs through the Control plane. SUPL protocol in User plan allowed the LBS to skip the MNOs. SUPL server with access to GNSS assistance data are embedded as a function offered by Operating system provider.
