1 CAREER PATHS and Certification Career exploration is a natural transition from thinking about school as a place to learn skills like reading and math to identifying careers related to student interests, skills, and values. Following initial exploration is a critical phase where students complete a career-focused curriculum to learn the necessary goals that must be set and met to achieve success in the landscape of the world of work. 2 IT Career Preparation The Edmentum IT career path introduces students to careers in IT, including the design, support, and management of computer hardware and software, multimedia, and system integration services. are organized into three categories: introductory, technical, and application. Edmentum recommends that those taking the CompTIA A+ exam complete the introductory and technical courses to gain an introduction to and build upon the foundational knowledge and practical career skills needed for the exam. Introduction to Cybersecurity This course introduces students to the field of cybersecurity, focusing primarily on personal computer use and vulnerabilities, and it also highlights the wider scope of cybersecurity from a societal and career perspective. Technical Web Technologies A/B This course takes students inside the essentials of Web design and helps them discover what makes a site truly engaging and interactive. Lessons such as Elements of Design, Effects of Color, and Typography help students understand the elements of effective and dynamic Web design. Students will explore the basics of HTML and CSS and learn how to organize content.

Introduction to Mobile App Development ios Students will learn about various platforms for developing ios mobile apps and the ios development environment. They will create the user interface of an app and make it interactive in Xcode. Introduction to Mobile App Development Android Students will learn about various platforms for developing Android mobile apps and the Android development environment. They will create the user interface of an app and make it interactive in Android Studio. Application CompTIA A+ ( ) Students will learn about computer hardware and networking. They will learn about mobile devices and their features, and they will learn how to identify and troubleshoot problems related to hardware, networking, printers, storage devices, and mobile devices. CompTIA A+ ( ) Students will learn about Windows operating systems and mobile operating systems. They will learn about security, cloud computing, and operational procedures.
