1 FOREST SURVEY OF INDIA (Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India) Kaulagarh Road Dehradun Website: REQUIREMENT OF TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS FOR DIP/GIS/MIS RELATED WORK UNDER VARIOUS PROJECTS/ PLAN SCHEME Forest Survey of India (FSI) is a national organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forests & CC, Government of India and is responsible for forest resource assessment of the country. Applications are invited for engagement of following posts on contractual basis for DIP/GIS/MIS related work under various projects/plan schemes initially for a period of one year subject to further extension, if required. i) Technical Associates 28 ii) Solution Architect (Application/ Softwares) 01 iii) Senior Developer -GIS Expert 01 iv) Database Administrator 01 v) Softwares Supports Executives (Application) 01 vi) GIS Analyst 01 Other detail such as essential qualification, age limit, emoluments, place of work and selection criterion has been given are as follows:

Tech. Must have a minimum 8+ years experience in Solution Design -13 Desirable- Should be responsible for creating or selecting the most appropriate architecture for a system (or systems), such that it suits the needs, satisfies user requirements, and achieves the desired results under given constraints. Senior Developer/GIS expert 1 Rs Essential Requirement: Should have a Post Graduation degree in Geo- Sciences/ GeoInformatics/MCA. Minimum 7 years technical experience working within the GIS domain. Desirable: Should have Expert in GIS solutions like: ArcGIS Server and extensions, Desktop and extensions, ArcGIS Mobile, AGOL/PFA, ArcGIS Pro,Other GIS Software s

4 Database Administrator 1 Rs Essential Requirement: Should have a graduation degree in Engineering or MCA or M. Tech with relevant industry certifications Should have a minimum 7+ years experience in Database Administration Desirable: Must have experience in managing 2-3 GIS technology Projects / Spatial databases Software Support Executive 1 Rs Essential Requirement: Should be B.E./B.Tech. Computers Science / M.C.A. 6+ Years of Experience as a programming and testing for GIS technology solutions. Skilled in Flex,.NET,php frame work Desirable- Knowledge of using relational database, MicrosoftSQL, Postgre SQL, MySQL.

5 GIS Analyst 1 Rs Essential Requirement: Should be Masters in Science/Geography / Remote Sensing / Computer Science/Geo informatics / Geology/ Environmental Science. Must have an experience of 4+ years in performing GIS related work, on server & Desktop Applications. Desirable: Experience handling Spatial Data bases / Remote Sensing / Image processing / Socio-economic data with GIS applications and Woking in reputed organisation. Selection Criterion: Candidates fulfilling the desired qualifications and experience will have to fill up the application form which can be downloaded from our website: The duly filled up application form after signature has to be scanned and sent as attachment to FSI ( dgfsi@fsi.nic.in). The scanned copy of the application form along with attested copy of experience certificate should reach FSI through latest by 5.30 pm of 10 th September, The short listed candidates will be intimated over phone and/or e -mail for a selection test which is tentatively scheduled in the third / fourth week of September, The short listed candidates will have to produce the original application form duly signed and photograph affixed on it on the day

6 of selection test. The candidates will have to produce all their original documents on the day of selection test. The selection test may comprise of a written test and/or hands on test and/or interview. Selection will be done on the basis of their qualification, experience and their performance in the written test and/or hands on test and/or interview. Decision of the Director General, FSI will be final. No TA/ DA will be paid for appearing in the test/ interview. Interested candidates may apply as per the procedure given above.
