1 Advertisement No.: 09/2018 WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR CONTRACT POSITIONS Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research (SAMEER) is an autonomous Research & Development Institute under the Administrative control of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. Its main objective is to promote the growth of Science and Technology in RF/Microwave Electronics, Medical Electronics, Electromagnetics, Opto-Electronics, Millimeter Wave Technology and its allied areas. SAMEER has its headquarters at Mumbai, centres at Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Guwahati. SAMEER is looking for suitable persons at SAMEER, Millimeter Wave Technology Centre, Kolkata, for sponsored project on consolidated pay. These are contractual appointments and shall not confer any right for regularization / absorption or continuation / automatic extension of service in SAMEER. 1. Post Project Assistant A / B : 1 Post Discipline Essential Qualification Experience Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication Diploma in Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / Electronics and Radio Engineering from reputed Technical Board with minimum 55% marks. Project Assistant A : Fresh Project Assistant B : 5 years Experience in the relevant field. Desirable: Fresh or having experience in one, more or all of the following areas : Troubleshooting of electronic circuits / RF circuits / High Voltage power supplies / digital circuits MCU programming Conversant with various laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, RF power meter, Spectrum analyzer, Vector network analyzer Conversant with PCB assembly, soldering, troubleshooting Experience in service and maintenance of electronic equipments / systems.

2 Remuneration Project Assistant - A : Rs. 17,000/- Per Month Project Assistant - B : Rs. 21,300/- Per Month Duration Upper Age Limit 12 months or the duration of the project whichever is less 30 years for Fresh Candidates. 35 Years for Experienced Candidates 2 Post Project Technician B : 1 Post Discipline / Electronics / Electronics Mechanic Trade Essential Candidates should have passed ITI (in Electronics/ Qualification Electronics-Mechanic) with minimum 55% marks. Note:Trade certificate should be issued by NCVT/SCVT or Provisional trade certificate (For Provisional Trade Certificate final trade certificate should be issued by NCVT/SCVT) up to the date of walk-in interview. Experience Minimum 5 years Experience on Electronics/ Electronic Mechanic related jobs Desirable: Experience in wiring, soldering, assembly of components and troubleshooting of electronic circuits. Experience in testing of lab equipments such as digital multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies. Remuneration Rs. 19,100/- Per Month Duration Upper Age Limit 12 months or the duration of the project whichever is less 30 years

Note: The selected candidates may be posted in any of the project sites in the country as per the requirement.

4 General Conditions: 1. Age Limit Eligibility date for age will be the date of walk-in interview as given in the advertisement. Note: Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other sponsored projects in SAMEER shall be admissible. 2. Candidates desirous of attending walk-in-interview for the above contract positions should attend as per the schedule given above. 3. Selection Procedure Candidates, who fulfil the prescribed qualifications and experience may be required to appear for objective written test. The shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a personal interview. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview. Written tests and Interviews will be held at SAMEER, Kolkata centre. General Note Candidates who possess the prescribed educational qualification with minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA awarded by the recognised Technical Board (for Project Assistant) or Trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT or Provisional trade certificate (For Provisional Trade Certificate final trade certificate should be issued by NCVT/SCVT) (For Project Technician) up to the date of walk-in interview, will only be considered. Any candidate holding qualification degree from out of India should produce equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Candidates should possess the prescribed experience in the relevant fields as mentioned under the column Experience with documentary proof. The relevant experience possessed before acquiring the essential qualifications will not be counted. In such cases, the required experience will be counted only from the date the essential qualifications acquired. The prescribed Essential Qualifications/experience is bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for written test/skill test. 4. Persons working in the Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies/Semi Government organizations should forward their application through proper channel and/or submit a NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the employer at the time of the interview 5. This position carries consolidated remuneration and appointment will be purely on contractual basis. 6. No TA / DA will be paid to candidates for appearing for written test / interview. 7. SAMEER reserves the right to reject or accept the candidature of any applicant at any stage. 8. SAMEER reserves the right to cancel / restrict / enlarge / modify / alter the recruitment process, if need arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof. 9. Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for the post they have applied. In case it is found out in any stage of selection process or even after, that the candidate

5 has furnished false or incorrect information or suppressed relevant information / material or does not full fill the criteria, his / her candidature / service are liable for rejection / termination without notice. 10. Candidates will have to produce all original certificates for verification at the time of written test / interview. 11. The person selected for contract appointment will not have any claim or right for his / her continuity in service or automatic extension of the term contract. 12. Selected candidate will have liability to work on any project site of SAMEER in the country. 13.
