2 ABOUT THIS SEMINAR The technical commissioning process is an important aspect of any business and is a growth opportunity for those wanting to pursue their professional development in this segment of the industry. Attendees will learn about performing system testing for commissioning and retro commissioning services, in addition to demo strations in testing procedures provided in the technical commissioning process. 3 CXCT PROGRAM OVERVIEW In addition to classroom lecturing, there will be instructor demonstrations and hands-on group activities to demonstrate testing processes. 4 INSTRUCTORS & REQUIREMENTS Casey Batenhorst Casey Batenhorst is a mechanical engineer with nearly a decade of experience as a project manager in Karges-Faulconbridge, Inc. s Building Performance Group. He oversees commissioning, re/retrocommissioning, and test and balance projects at KFI. Casey is certified as a NEBB TAB CP and BSC CP. Peter Rawls, P.E. Peter Rawls, P.E. serves as a Building Systems Engineer for W.M. Jordan Company. Involved in Commissioning, Construction Administration and Multi- discipline Design for over 20 years, he received his Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology and earned his P.E. in Architectural Engineering. Pete is certified as a NEBB BSC CP, RCx-EB CP, CxPP & BET CP, as well as a LEED Green Associate. Scott Gordon With over 40 years in the energy services and design build mechanical contracting industry, Scott has a broad range of experience covering mechanical system design, business development, business management, sales of complex mechanical systems, energy analysis, risk review, project management, commissioning, retro-commissioning and training. His specialties include energy analysis of large facilities and development of complex mechanical projects, with emphasis on building a compelling business case around energy and operational cost savings. 7 BSC CXCT CERTIFICATION & EXAM PROCESS: A STEPPED APPROACH Professionals who desire to achieve the BSC CxCT certification and who want to sit for the exam at the conclusion of the CxCT training seminar on Saturday, October 8, 2016 are required to be in compliance with and complete all certification requirements and processes BEFORE attending the training seminar. If sitting for the BSC CxCT exam on Saturday, October 8, the certification process must be started well in advance 1. CxCT certification requirements are available in the NEBB Comprehensive Certification Handbook available on the NEBB website at or certification@nebb.org. 2. To obtain CxCT certification and exam info mation, please certification@nebb.org. 3. Deadline for receipt of CxCT Applications for Candidacy: Friday, September 8, a. Last minute applications and walk-ins to the exam will not be accepted. 4. Pre-requisites must be met and the CxCT Application for Candidacy must be submitted for approval and the certification application fees paid. a. Once approved, the Candidate will receive payment information for the CxCT paper-based Written Exam. 5. Application for Candidacy fees and exam fees are separate from the training seminar fees. a. All exam-related fees are final but can be transferrable. 6. Because a Candidate s exam results are entered into Kryterion, NEBB s online exam processing center, Candidates are required to set up a profile on Kryterion in advance of sitting for the CxCT exams. a. Instructions on the process will be sent. 7. Those who wish to sit for the CxCT exams, must have all facets of the certification process completed prior to attending the BSC CxCT seminar. 8. Success with certification comes with dedicated self-study and preparation. As such NEBB recommends the following publications for CxCT Candidates: a.
