The event will focus on providing quality professional education on operational, information technology, and risk-based auditing and give participants a chance to network with other professionals at a reasonable price. No refunds will be given for confirmed registrations not cancelled by the event start date. All requests for refunds will be processed within 30 days following the program. Complaint Resolution All Complaints or disputes shall be submitted to the IIA San Gabriel Valley Chapter in writing. NASBA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Policies San Gabriel Valley Chapter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be addressed to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website - Website: In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits have been granted based on a 50-minute hour. Two-day programs are eligible for 16 CPE credits; one-day programs are eligible for 8 CPE credits. Actual credits awarded are based on actual program length.

MTA Five Star, 1 Gateway Plaza, $6.00 per day under Metro s Building 24 hours-7 days. Parking entrances are located on the north side of the building from Cesar Chavez and on the east side from Vignes. There is ample parking on levels P2 - P4. Metro and IIA will not validate parking for this event. Metrolink trains, Pasadena Goldline and Metro Redline can also be used to commute to the MWD Building. It is an easy walk through Union Station to the Seminars.

5 DAY ONE IT AUDIT OVERVIEW AND SUGGESTED PRACTICES February 4, 2014 With companies looking to internal audit to assist in evaluating management controls within an information technology (IT) infrastructure, auditors must be effective in determining if the information systems are safeguarding assets, maintaining data integrity, and operating effectively to achieve the organization's goals or objectives. This course will take attendees through tools and techniques on how to maximize their information technology audit effectiveness. 6 DAY ONE IT AUDIT OVERVIEW AND SUGGESTED PRACTICES February 4, 2014 SPEAKERS BIO Jonathan Bronson, CISA, CBCP Jon is a Managing Director in Protiviti's Los Angeles IT internal audit and risk consulting practice. He is a key management resource in executing IT internal audit, business continuity management (BCM) and IT governance engagements. He has provided internal audit leadership and advisory assistance to over 75 organizations throughout the West region. Jon is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) as well as a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). He has over 15 years of large-scale project management experience complemented by an Engineering Master's degree. Prior to joining Protiviti, Jon was a Manager at KPMG, LLP in Costa Mesa, California. He was also a Senior Project Engineer for 3 years at ExxonMobil (formerly Mobil Oil) in New Orleans, LA. Jon led in the execution and provided advisory assistance on numerous IT audit engagements across several lines of business, including: media and entertainment, technology, education, financial services, and consumer markets. Examples of IT audits performed included: Data Privacy; Data Center Operations; End User Computing; Network Stability; Business Continuity; Application Controls Effectiveness; Security Infrastructure; Security Incident Management; and Database/Operating System(s). He also led in the management and execution of many IT governance / IT process improvement engagements. Key areas of emphasis include: performance measurement; access and change controls; configuration and release management; and service level management. Jon developed comprehensive Business Continuity programs for several multi-billion dollar organizations. Key functions performed included a Business Impact Analysis, Recovery Strategy Development, Business Continuity Plan Development, Plan Testing Procedures and a Plan Maintenance Schedule. Jon has been a frequent speaker and trainer in the areas of IT audit, IT governance and BCM to clients and other interested parties.

8 DAY TWO ADDING VALUE WITH PERFORMANCE AUDITING FEBRUARY 5, 2014 SPEAKERS BIO Randall Coxworth, CCA Randall is an Associate Director in Protiviti s Los Angeles office. He specializes in project risk identification and contract control assessments as well as process performance reviews to the construction, healthcare/ higher education, multi-tenant housing, mining, energy, commercial property, hospitality, consumer products & retail industries. He has been particularly involved in providing risk consulting and internal audit services within technical areas of organizations including engineering, construction, and environmental risk management. Randall s principal areas of practice include services for capital projects & construction, environmental, disaster preparedness & planning, and property claims management and assessment. Randall s areas of expertise include: process re-engineering, project budgeting & forecasting assistance, project risk advisory, dispute assistance, process and internal controls, and contract compliance & cost recovery. Prior to joining Protiviti, he spent eight years in a large general contracting firm managing construction projects, environmental services and disaster recovery projects in the Southwest region of the U.S.. Randall is a Certified Construction Auditor (CCA). He holds an M.B.A., from the University of Southern California, and a B.A., from Northeastern Illinois University, in Political Science and Philosophy. Furthermore, he is a member of Building Owners Managers Association (BOMA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), National Association of Construction Auditors (NACA), and project Management (PMI).
