MOLO training is designed for you. This intensive 3-day course covers landfill operations and challenges; landfill siting, design, construction and closure; safety; permitting and regulatory compliance; environmental protection and monitoring and more. The course includes lecture, activities, and an optional landfill facility tour when time and location permit. The course is designed to prepare you for the SWANA Landfill Management certification exam. Transfer Station Management Monday, June 11 Wednesday, June CEUs - Instructors: Joe Williams A well-planned, designed and operated transfer station provides advantages and flexibility to a waste management system. Transfer Station Management (TMS) addresses planning, design, operations and ongoing management of transfer stations. Discussion of how effective communication with the public and regulators helps mitigate challenges in planning and operating a transfer station, and how planning and design affect construction and operation. Solid Waste directors/ supervisors, Transfer Station managers, developers, and consulting engineers will benefit from this course. Completing this course prepares you for the Transfer Station Management certification exam. Zero Waste Principles and Practice Monday, June 11 Wednesday, June CEUs - Instructors: Robin Ennis and D. Scott Bost & This course I intended to provide a source of professional development for individuals seeking to gain an understanding of Zero Waste principles and practices. The intent is not to define Zero Waste, but to give professionals the tools needed to develop a plan toward achieving Zero Waste. At the conclusion of this course participants will be able to discuss the methods of and approaches to Zero Waste, including program planning, budgeting, contracting, and public involvement.
