1 ASSESSMENT CRITERIA FOR RADIOGRAPHER PROGRAM To determine whether the identified outcomes are being met, the will assess its effectiveness. Responsibility: Director, Instructors, Clinical Staff. Standard: Evaluation and Assessment To assure that the desired outcomes are being met, the following benchmarks are used to evaluate the : ASSESSMENT PLAN REGIONAL WEST MEDICAL CENTER Goal 1. Demonstrate the skills necessary to perform as an entry-level radiographer OUTCOMES A. The student will comprehend and apply the principles of ALARA for patients and others. MEASUREMENT 1. Student Dosimetry Reports 2. Clinical Staff 3. ARRT Radiation Protection Section Test Results BENCHMARKS TIME INTERVAL RESPONSIBLE a. Each student s Evaluated Annual annual dosimetry report - will not exceed 500 mr whole body deep dose a. Under Patient Care Skills #2 - average will be 90% or b. Under Exam Performance #7 - average will be 90% or a. Section A average will equal to or than 9.0 for graduate students (Jul.- 1 st year, Yearly Instructors Director B. The student will demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and pathology. 1. Case Studies a. Average will be Second, third and fourth terms Instructors ASSESSMENT CRITERIA - page 1 of 11

2 2. Test scores from 230 Radiographic Procedures I, 235 Radiographic Procedures II, 365 Radiographic Pathophysiology Courses 3. Test scores on cross-sectional anatomy from Course 380 Advanced Procedures a. Average will be a. Average will be Annual Annual Instructor Instructor C. Completion of venipuncture, EKG, phlebotomy performances a.
