Outgoing Call Overview Through PBX System Programming, it is possible to determine what destinations an extension user can call, and also the type of Trunk used to make the call. Network International Digital Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 01) Analogue Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 02) National Local Boss Sales man Worker

1-1 Making a Call (Basic) To make an outgoing (external) call, the user must access a Trunk. This is usually done by dialling 9 or 0 (Idle Line Access Code). Network Digital Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 01) Analogue Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 02) Destination 9 (or 0 )+ Destination number * 9 or 0= Idle Line Access Code Caller

1-2 Making a Call (Trunk Access) Idle Line Access -1 Each Trunk can be assigned a specific Trunk Group Number CO Line Settings Multiple Trunks can belong to the same Trunk Group. * Maximum number of [Trunk Group] per system -> 64

1-3 Making a Call (Trunk Access) Idle Line Access -2 Each Trunk Group can be assigned a COS (Class of Service) TRG Settings Each Trunk Group can be named. By default, each Trunk Group COS = 7. This COS prevents Trunk-to-Trunk calls and must be changed before calls are made. * Maximum number of [COS] per system -> 64

1-4 Making a Call (Trunk Access) Idle Line Access -3 The Idle Line Access Code is the number used to seize a trunk System - Numbering Plan - Main Features Tab Feature code for Idle Line Access Idle Line Access number can be 9 or 0 depending on your country.

Outgoing Call Overview (TRS) By setting the Class of Service (COS) and Toll Restriction Level (TRS) of each extension, the destinations which the extensions can call can be controlled Dest. Network International xxxxx Boss Cellular Phone Digital Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 01) Analogue Trunk/CO Line (Trunk Group 02) National 0 + Dest xxxx Dest xxxx Local All Calls -National -Local Local only Boss Sales man -Boss Cellular Phone Worker

1-1 Assigning COS for Extensions Assigning COS (Class of Service) to An Extension. The COS which an extension belongs to determines which services, features, extension, trunks and destinations an extension can call. Basically, the COS setting controls the behaviour and privileges of an Extension user Extension Settings Extensions are assigned a specific COS. * Maximum number of [COS] per system -> 64

2-1 Assigning TRS for Each COS Assigning the Appropriate TRS Level for Each COS COS Settings A different TRS level can be assigned per COS and per Time Service Mode. Indicates which TRS level is used when the Extension Lock feature is used. Indicates which TRS level is used when the System Speed Dial feature is used. TRS Level 7 means that only Intercom and Emergency calls can be made. TRS Level 1 means that all calls can be made (no restrictions). (TRS Levels 1 and 7 cannot be changed.)

2-2 Assigning TRS Denied Codes Setting the Dialling Restrictions (Denied Code). 7.1 Denied Code TRS Level 2 prevents numbers starting with; -00 : International -07 : Cellular Phones -09 : Premium Rate Services from being dialled. TRS Level 3 prevents numbers starting with; -0 : National -141 : Network Services -Any numbers denied by TRS Level 2 codes (00,07,09) from being dialled. * Maximum number of [Denied Code] per Level -> 100

2-3 Assigning TRS Exception Codes Setting Denied Code Exceptions. In our example, you may wish for the Sales team to be able to call the Bosses mobile, even though the Sales team are not usually allowed to make calls to Mobiles. This can be done via the Exception Table. 7.2 Exception Code This Exception applies to Level 2 only. Level 3 will not be able to call the mobile. * Maximum number of [Exception Code] per Level -> 100

2-4 TRS Table Management TRS Table Mode Options It is possible to configure the TRS Denied Code Table to behave in two different ways. 7.5 Miscellaneous TRS Table Mode for Level N(N=2_6) Option 1 (Default) : Each Denied Table is applied sequentially to the next table. What is denied in Table 2 is also denied in all other tables, etc. Option 2 : Each Denied (and Exception) Table does not affect other Denied/Exception tables. Table 2 does not affect other tables, etc.

2-5 TRS Table Management (Option 1) Option -1 (Default) 7.1 Denied Code Example : A PT with TRS Level-4 can dial numbers starting with 03 and 04, but not 00, 01,02 etc Follow Level 2 Follow Level 2,3 Follow Level 2,3,4 Follow Level 2,3,4,5 Follow Level 2,3,4,5,6 TRS-2 TRS-3 TRS-4 TRS-5 TRS-6

2-6 TRS Table Management (Option 2) Option Denied Code TRS Level-4 Exception table also applies to this column only Example : A PT with TRS Level-4 (see highlighted column) cannot dial numbers starting 00 or 02, but can dial 01, 03, 04 etc. Follow this Level only Follow this Level only Follow this Level only Follow this Level only Follow this Level only TRS-2 TRS-3 TRS-4 TRS-5 TRS-6

Example: Ext103(TRS-4) can dial International numbers starting with 00 (Exception Table), but is Denied dialling National numbers starting with 0. TRS 2 Denied Code Exception Code TRS ,02,03,04 TRS TRS 5 0 TRS 6 0,1,2,3,4 00(International) 0(National) Description Ext.101 (TRS 2) Allowed Allowed General manager Ext.102 (TRS 3) Not Allowed Allowed National sales manager Ext.103 (TRS 4) Allowed Not Allowed International sales manager Ext.104 (TRS 5) Not Allowed Not Allowed Workers-1 (City call only) Ext.105 (TRS 6) Not Allowed Not Allowed Workers-2 (Limited City call only)

3-1 Call Barring (External - Overview) Barring Extensions from Using Selected Trunk Groups. By setting the External Call Block Feature, Extensions belonging to a certain COS can be denied access to specific Trunk Groups. TR-G 01 TR-G 03 Network Local TR-G 02 International National Boss COS1 All Calls National + Local Sales COS2 Worker COS3 Local only The setting example for the above appears on the next slide.

3-2 Call Barring (External - PBX Setting) External Call Block - PBX Settings Referring to the previous slide, this slide shows how Extension which have been assigned a specific COS can be prevented from using specific Trunk Groups External Call Block External Call Block can be set per Time Service Mode. Blue : Block White : Non Block COS 1 can access all Trunk Groups. COS 3 can access all Trunk Groups, Except TR-G02 and TR-G03. COS 2 can access all Trunk Groups, Except TR-G03. * Maximum number of [TR-G (Trunk Group )] per system -> 64

4-1 Call Barring (Internal - Overview) Restricting different extensions from calling each other. You may find it necessary to prevent certain extensions calling other specific extensions. For example, The Boss may want to call a worker, but the Boss does not want workers to call him. Boss COS1 Boss can call Sales or Worker. Sales COS2 Worker COS3 Sales can call Boss or Worker. Worker can call Sales only.

4-2 Call Barring (Internal - PBX Setting) PBX Setting By using the Extension COS setting, it is possible to block calls between extensions. (Internal Call Block) Internal Call Block COS 3 cannot make calls to COS 1.
