Technical Queries (Q) and Answers (A) Q47: Item 1.1 Core Network Switch. What is the purpose to use 10/40/100 GE switch if edge switches will be 1 GE? How many ports (minimum required is 24) should be supplied with optics? Usually there is modules for optics supplied separately, depending on customer needs What Minimum switching capacity per slot means. At the moment there is core switches which are not modular, so slot switching capacity is not correct definition for switch switching capacity A47: Please refer to the Question and Answer #42 of Minutes of Prebidding conference. A42:The ports are normally 48 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports, and 4 x 40 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP+ ports and 4 x 100 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP28 ports That said, the configuration should allow to connect core switches to core switches, as well as connecting the distribution/edge switches to the core switches, and peripherals to distribution/edge switches. Q48: Item 1.2 Distribution Network Switch. Please clarify if ports should be PoE or PoE+ A48: Minimum PoE. PoE+ is optional. Q49: Item 1.3 Firewall. Please clarify more detail what speed of LAN ports is required. So please clarify if storage system will achieve that amount of storage. If yes, there is no additional questions, if no, so please clarify real system requirements - i. e. it can be ~400TB and it is not small amount ow raw space. Also price depends on licensing. Each storage system vendor licenses differently - one can sell license for whole 1PB and it will be

2 extremely expensive, another sell when new disks are added, so it is more accurate to customer needs A50: Please refer to Question and Answer #27 of Minute of Prebidinng teleconference. A27: We have reviewed the requirements. The adjusted specification on this point is: Maximum Raw Capacity: 100 Tb. Raw capacity needed is 12x650Gb. Q51: Item 5.1 Operating Systems. Windows Server Data Center 2012 R2 + CAL pack Windows x or Windows 10 64x. Please clarify, if licenses can/should be quoted together with servers/computers (inside, during manufacturing), or it should be separate licenses. Also, please clarify if it is for academic, governmental or general. It also affects prices A51: Preinstalled software is required for Items and 1.4. However, please provide separately software prices in Lot 5 considering the fact that all the ownership of the software or software licenses should be transferred to particular Government/Governmental authority (End-user). Q52: Item 5.5 Backup software. Symantec Backup (at least include for OS s specified in 1 and DBMS specified in 3) Netapp backup. Please clarify if different manufacturer of backup software can be proposed. A52: Any different backup software that corresponds to all technical requirements can be proposed in Lot 5. Q53: Lot 2 / 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 This bidder would suggest to permit the use of a processor without Hyper threading technology. Today, in a normal office environment there are no applications, that support Hyper threading technology, and therefore the technology has very limited or no value. To further support this argument we could mention, that from next year Intel s new M processors doesn t use Hyper threading technology. Please confirm, that the use of a processor without Hyper Threading will be OK. A53: Yes, it would be seen as a minor deviation. Q54: Item 1.9 Room monitoring system: What quantity of Digital Sensor Ports are required? What quantity of sensors are required by rack / outside rack? A54: For LTA comparison purposes kindly have one sensor for each of the following: Water flooding detection Power monitoring Sensor Temperature Sensor Humidity Sensor Smoke Sensor Air Flow Sensor Movement Detection Sensor The signals should be send using Wi-Fi, SMS, 3G, or (SNMP). However, for LTA comparison purposes, at the minimum should SMS be used. Q55: Lot5 Software. NetApp: NetApp has some licenses for backup either Snap Mirror or Snapvault. These are licenses you buy to send a copy from one system to another. There are also licenses for backup of databases and - systems (Snapmanagers for SQL). Here you buy one license, or a license that covers all applications that are connected a given box, but the price depends on the box you are taking backup of. (FAS XXX system). Last but not least, there are licenses for NetApp that are based on capacity. To be able to price we need to know more about which solution the customer is looking for. A55: For LTA comparison kindly have managers for at least the OS s specified in 5.1 and DBMS specified in 5.3.

3 Q56: Symantec: Regarding Symantec Backup Exec, is it 10 x Backup Exec for Windows Server you need or are you backing up other devices? A56: For LTA comparison kindly have agents for at least the OS s specified in 5.1 and DBMS specified in 5.3. Q57: Trend Micro:Cloud and Data Center Security covers a whole product group, as you can see enclosed. Therefore please specify what it is you need. Is it Deep Security, anti-malware, virtual patching or log inspection? Please specify as much as possible in order for us to offer the correct prices. A57: For LTA comparison kindly have security agents for at least the OS s specified in 5.1 and DBMS specified in 5.3 as well as the equipment specified in this ITB. Q58: LOT 1 / 1.10 Rack mounted storage system. "Minimum System Memory 16Gb" Are you here referring to cache in the storage system? If so, would it be acceptable to offer a system with 12GB in total cache? A58: Yes, it is referring to the cache. For comparison reasons we have to keep Minimum System Memory 16Gb as a minimum requirement. Thus, 12GB will be not accepted. Q59: LOT 1 / 1.10 Rack mounted storage system. Included Ethernet Host I/O Ports: Minimum 1 per controller. This requirement will reduce the number of possible vendors significantly. This bidder would suggest, that a SAS-connection would be sufficient. Can tenderer confirm this? A59: The Ethernet Host I/O is for configuration and redundant pathways and is required.

4 Q60: Core Switch: The request is for 24 ports with 10/40/100Gbps, but A42 from Minutes of Pre-Bid Teleconference seems to contradict this, stating ports are normally 48 x 10G, 4 x 40G and 4 x 100G. How many of each speed (10,40 and 100G) ports are required on this switch? Q60: These ports are normally swappable or configurable modules and could be configured differently in future procurement requirements, but for LTA comparison purposes let it be configured for 48 x 10G, 2 x 40G and 2 x 100G. Q61: Distribution Switch: Do you need redundancy in your connections? Do any connections other than to the core switch require fiber? What PoE devices will be connected to the distribution switch and how many? A61: The ports connecting to the core switch are normally interchangeable or configurable to have fiber or copper. For LTA comparison purposes, let the distribution/edge switch have 48 PoE and two 10GB fiber (stackable) ports to be able to connect to the core switches. Q62: Please advise what equipment will be installed in the 9U rack cabinet, so we can quote the correct depth. A62: The 9U racks are normally used for switching equipment, however, they are used every now and then as server racks where only one or two servers are required with one storage enclosure. It is therefore required that the 9U racks should be the same depth as the 42U and capable to host any of the equipment required in Lot 1. Q63: In clarification A30, you confirm that no SAN is required for this ITB. Should we not include the Optional 2-port FC ports? A63: It is still optional. Q64: Are you looking for both a KVM console and KVM switch? A64: Yes, both are required. Q65: What uplink speed is required on the distribution switches? A65: Please refer to Question and Answer #61 above. Q66: Do we include SFP s? (MM/SM and Qty) A66: Please refer to Question and Answer #61 above. Q67: What throughput is required on the FW? A67: Please refer to Question and Answer #49 above. Q68: How many concurrent connections should the FW support? A68: Please refer to Question and Answer #49 above. According to Bid Data Sheet (BDS), clause Documents Required Comprising the Bid and Qualification Requirements C.xi Details of delivery and service plan it is mentioned that Bidder s online catalogue and B2B communication solutions should be presented. Please note, that enterprise equipment, especially servers, storage, network equipment (basically equipment in LOT1 and sometimes LOT2) is not sold by online catalogues and prices. Usually when customer has needs to buy such kind of equipment, he contacts representative of manufacturer and/or representative who has rights to propose solution and/or prices and then, with manufacturer help, solution is quoted, depending on specific customer needs. In this scenario it is bigger possibility, that customer

5 will buy a solution, which exactly fulfills customer needs for smallest amount of money. Manufacturers has some equipment (usually end user and peripheral equipment) online, but it is just for information only. Please clarify, how this requirement can be fulfilled if main world-wide manufacturers do not provide that kind of information. A67: Please mention and refer to online catalogues/price lists maintained by your company with the list of basic variants of equipment to extend possible. In case specific requirements are needed during future procurement exercises, customization will be required. Q68: 3. According to Bid Data Sheet (BDS), clause Documents Required Comprising the Bid and Qualification Requirements C.xi Details of delivery and service plan it is mentioned that Bidder s online catalogue and B2B communication solutions should be presented. Please clarify, if bidder has his own service center, who is responsible of all requests (via mail, phone, fax, etc.) in Europe, do communication solution requirement is fulfilled? A68: Please clearly describe how your service centre is dealing with B2B communication and provides further project support. The evaluation will be based on qualification requirements stipulated in the ITB document. Q69: 4. According to Bid Data Sheet (BDS), clause Delivery Times and Terms is requirement to quote packed, palletized and delivered to FCA Named International Airport (Incoterms 2010). We believe, according to cost effective solution, not to specify FCA Airport, because each time it depends on where is destination. For example if destination is in Asia and procurement is for Laptop computers, which is made in China. We think that in this case scenario it is more cost effective to deliver equipment not to Europe and later, from specified FCA Airport, to destination country. A69: According to ITB document requirements and evaluation purpose please offer only one consolidated FCA point per LOT. However, should you able to provide other solutions please mention in the comments. ---
