1 Vendor must indicate at what level its proposed solution will the College s requirements as delineated in the referenced sections of the RFP: 2.3 Solution Vision Requirement 2.3 Solution Vision CCAC will be placing the production (Hyper-V virtual machine) environment at the Office of College Services and a reduced disaster recovery virtual machine (Hyper-V) environment will reside at CCAC s South Campus in West Mifflin. CCAC will be implementing the Blackboard, Exchange, and Lync servers to be secure, scalable, and fault tolerant systems by distributing the work load to multiple servers. In addition, CCAC will be deploying Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V clusters to virtualize the Application front-ends, backend servers, Microsoft 2012 SQL database backend servers, and other servers as needed; the virtual servers will possibly be a combination of Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012, and/or Windows 2012 R2. CCAC intends to maximize high availability of services the ability to live migrate Hyper- V virtual machines between sites and servers so that the host servers at one site can be taken offline for maintenance out any interruption to the users. Furthermore, most of these servers will be using an F5 for proxy access to the front ends for end users. 13 3.2 SAN Installation and Requirements Requirement SAN Option A a. Describe the network ports available on this storage unit. Indicate the following: port protocols (Ethernet, FC, other), available port speeds, port quantity, and expansion or upgrade capacity. b. Describe the Storage Area Network (SAN) protocols (iscsi, FC, FoE, NFS, other) supported by your storage solution. Indicate supported versions of these protocols and any deviations your products may make from the public standards. c. For Fibre Channel and iscsi storage solutions, describe the available options for how multipathing can be handled on Windows and Linux clients. Indicate if you have your own software solution that would need to be installed on the client system and the capabilities of that software. d. Describe your storage solutions ability to take point in time snapshots of data. Indicate if the snapshot can be replicated to a remote storage unit. e. Describe your storage solution's ability to replicate data to an offsite unit used for disaster recovery (DR). f. Data in our environment will be divided into several categories: small data & Fast I/O, large data & slower I/O. The vendor is solely responsible to deliver a fully functional solution ing the specifications described herein. b. Technical data on all equipment and component parts. c. 16 Requirement d. The on-site and vendor certified training of CCAC personnel and the verification and testing of all project related technologies. e. A list of acceptance-testing procedures to be followed upon completion of installation to demonstrate the functionality of the system and compliance these specifications & design requirements. f. A detailed final documentation set (upon completion of the project), containing installation, configuration, contact information, best practices and recommended operating, protocol, and procedural guidelines in four hard copies and an electronic format copy. g. In coordination CCAC's network team, design, document and submit a progressive configuration to support CCAC security policies in regards to the newly deployed solution. The vendor will guide and advise CCAC personnel on the parameters of security policies to facilitate decision-making in regards to operation of the solution. h. Provide as-configured documentation to include comprehensive, logical and physical layout diagrams in paper and electronic format (as a Visio drawing). i. All software must be integrated the hardware procured by this proposal and the previously deployed network equipment. j. Provide manufacturer certified training for three CCAC employees to be trained to configure, operate and maintain the proposed solutions and any college requested technology. The assumptions about the proficiency of the CCAC personnel must be noted. CCAC may use these vouchers at any point in time. b. Provide a list of the printed documentation provided for installation, operation, use, and administration of the whole solution. c. In addition to formal classroom training, the college requires the vendor to provide on-site training of key concepts which are specific to the proposed solution. The vendor must specify the type of training provided. d. Specify and describe any help files provided by the system, and whether they can be customized for CCAC Support a.
