Fibre has changed the way we use the web. For the first time ever video streaming, remote CCTV viewing and IP TV work perfectly. These high bandwidth services need high quality bandwidth and high quality data. Our data packages work through ADSL or Telkom fibre. Telkom fibre provides you with much lower (better) latency (the time it takes for a data packet to travel to the Internet and back) than ADSL. Unfortunately not all areas are Telkom fibre enabled. Contact us to find out if your neighbourhood has Telkom fibre connectivity. High quality data with low contention ratios. Get 200 percent more data with night data for the same price. Online, SMS and usage notifications and top-up. No hidden costs. Static IP addresses can be purchased should you need the service. Questions & Answers How is the service setup, what equipment is used and how much will it cost? We will put you in contact with a Jenny Internet Dealer and they will assist you with installation. The ADSL modem or Telkom fibre router each cost roughly about R 600. What is the difference between ADSL and Telkom fibre? ADSL works on a copper wire infrastructure which is slow, has interference, is heavily contended and is prone to copper theft. Telkom fibre works by sending light signals through fibre optic cable. Fibre does not have interference like ADSL and is exponentially faster and better. The gold data is shaped to allow popular Internet protocols like (POP and SMTP) and web surfing (HTTP) priority. This way the Internet feels faster for gold data users. Gold data has priority over all other data. Your connection is throttled when the throttled after limited is reached for the current 7 days. For example, if your throttled after data is 30 GB per 7 day rolling window. You can effectively use 120 GB per month before being throttled. 7 days fits into 1 month 4 times.
