1 DPR 100 A/B Analog Scales 0I /95 Pen and Multipoint 100 mm Digital Recorders Specification and Technical Data Introduction The DPR 100 is a microprocessor based 100 mm (4 inch) strip chart recorder with high functionality and low price for general purpose applications. This recorder has been designed to satisfy our customers worldwide with quality, ruggedness, flexibility, ease of use and an outstanding price/performance ratio as the major requirements which guided its design. The DPR 100 exists in two versions: DPR 100A: is a 1 to 3 continuous pen recorder; DPR 100B: is a 1 to 6 channel digital pen multipoint recorder. 2 Page 2 Clear and fully documented chart The best chart in the industry. When roll paper is used, at any time more than 90 mm (3.54 inches) of chart is visible. 4 Page 4 Rugged, Simple and Modular Construction Construction The construction of the DPR 100 is simple and modular, with the modules being plugged into the main chassis. This modular concept, along with the recorder s extra long ink cartridge and long paper chart, significantly reduces service and maintenance costs. Easy Access Access to the chart and the ink cartridges requires only swinging open the scale bracket. The multipoint print head design provides fine, clear traces in up to 6 colors. Two Paper Types Either roll or fan-fold paper cassettes can be used. Roll paper allows easier reading of historical data during operation and is less sensitive to environmental changes. On the other hand, fan-fold paper allows easier data access when the record is stored. Pen Carriage Module A compact pen carriage module guarantees efficient operation of the pen carriage and the printing mechanism. Indicators The process data is displayed on an analog linear scale with a thin-line colored index that is clearly visible from a distance. Universal Input Board The universal input board supports all actuations. A universal input card module reduces the configuration cost of the product. It is plugged in for easy servicing. Optional Solid State Relays Available in place of electromechanical input relays. Universal Power Supply Module A universal switched power supply module provides 85 to 264 Vac 50/60 Hz, and simplifies the installation of the recorder. Optionally available is a 24 or 48 Vac/dc power supply module. An optional, transmitter power supply that can supply 24 Vdc, 75 ma is also available. Terminal Modules The rear input terminal module may be removed from the chassis without disconnecting the input wiring. Environmental Protection The DPR 100 is designed to operate non-stop in harsh industrial environments at 50 C (120 F). It has a front panel protection against dust and water splashes to meet the IP54 requirement (IEC529). Easy Configuration Local Configuration A simple 4-key configuration allows the recorder s basic operation to be quickly modified. Prompt messages confirm to the operator the modification of the product configuration or alarm setpoints (1 to 6), chart speed, product identification (1 to 99), date, time and input calibration per channel. PC Configuration Full product configuration, using a PC and the Honeywell PC Configurator, allows you to modify, copy, store, upload and download the product configuration. The product configuration can also be prepared in your office and then downloaded to the recorder. Any range can be configured to operate within the actuation range limits (minimum is 20% of the range). Recorder shipped from factory configured per model selection. Options Fluorescent Chart Illumination In any ambient light conditions, chart illumination makes trend and current values immediately visible, even from a distance. Pen Offset A memory buffer stores the data in order to place the value on the same time line as the first pen. This feature reduces possible errors when interpreting the chart. Portable Case Option A portable case option is available for the DPR 100 recorder. This is a metal sleeve that is equipped with four rubber feet, a handle, a rear protection cover, a main power switch and an IEC power plug connector.

Its operator-friendly configuration keys, easy to read analog scales or digital displays, reliable alarm functions and customized charts ensure accurate monitoring and recording of your process. 1) Process data is clearly displayed on analog linear scales. Each thin line index displays precise values in colors that are visible up to 5 meters from the recorder. 2) The compact pen carriage module and high quality servo-motor chart drive ensure reliable operation of the pen carriage and printing mechanism. The ink cartridge and the print wheel module are easilty removed for quick replacement. 6) The universal input card module with 2 logic and 3 analog inputs reduces configuration time. 7) The universal power supply accepts virtually any ac or dc voltage. 8) The plug-in rear terminal blocks allow easy maintenance. 3) The roll or fan-fold chart cartridge is easliy removed from the front for quick chart replacement. 4) Simple keys provide easy configuration and operation.
