5 Shortcircuit Fault Indicator Easy diagnosis, saves downtime With the unique shortcircuit fault indication feature, one can conclude if the MCB has tripped due to a shortcircuit fault. It helps in reducing downtime as the faulty phase and cause of MCB tripping are easily detected. If the MCB has tripped on 'overload', noncritical loads can be switched off before switching the MCB on again. In the case of a shortcircuit fault, the location and cause of the shortcircuit should be identified and the necessary corrective action should be taken.
