3 Security Information This manual contains general information about the TVC CONTROL Software that is used in conjunction with the TVC control equipment and single-phase voltage regulating transformers. It does not eliminate user responsibility for proper practice in the application, installation, operation and maintenance of such equipment. DANGER: The Control Equipment and the voltage regulator transformer operate at dangerous voltage supply levels, which can lead to death or serious injury to the user. PRECAUTION: Only authorized and trained people should manipulate this equipment. User profile: For using the manual, an authorized and trained person has sense of the electric risks inherent to the handling of the equipment concerned. Besides, the user must own the following qualifications: a) Be trained and authorized to energize, de-energize, operate, parameterize, ground, perform maintenance procedures in accordance with the safety practices established by the user and under his responsibility. b) Be trained in the due care to the use of individual protection equipment, such as rubber gloves, helmet, security glasses or masks, safety clothing, etc., according to the established security practices. c) Be trained in the provision of first aid. d) Be trained as to the principles of operation of the control, as well as its parameterization.

6 1 Introduction The TVC Control software was developed to be used in the configuration of the controls for single-phase voltage regulators TVC model, this manual contains instructions on how to install and operate the software. The user is supposed to have general knowledge about single-phase voltage regulating transformers and their control devices. 2 Standard of quality Transformadores e Serviços de Energia das Américas Ltda is certified according to the ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards. 3 General description The TVC Control software aims to provide means to configure and obtain data of electronic controls TVC model in an easy way to the user. This manual contains instructions for installing and using the software. 4 Minimum system requirements Recommended minimum system requirements for software use: Microsoft Windows 7. Microsot.NET Framework 4.5. Microsoft IISExpress 10. Availability of a serial port RS-232 or USB One of the following browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 or superior. Google Chrome or superior. Firefox : 53.0 or superior. 5 Software installation Run the provided ToshibaRT.Setup.exe installation file. The installer will guide you through the installation. For the installation to occur correctly, it is necessary for the user to have operating system administrator privileges. P. 6-36

7 After the installation is finished, an icon will be created on your desktop that will give access to the Software. When installing new versions of the TVC Control software, it is recommendedd to uninstall the previous version before starting the installation of the new version. 6 Opening screen Start the program through the icon generated on your desktop or the startt button on the Windows taskbar: Start> All Programs> Toshiba RT> TVC Control. By default, when you start the software, no access password is required. System opening screen: Fig. 1 - System opening screen When you open the system, the home screen will display only the basic menus, File and Settings, these menus will be described in detail in the next section. To access the operating settings menus and other system menus, you need to create a new local database, open an existing database, or connect to an electronic control TVC model. 7 Starting the TVC-Control The following procedures enable access to the operating configuration menus of the TVC-Control software. 8 7.1.1 Creating a local database In the upper menu, access File> New: Fig. 2 NEW Menu On the screen New select an existing folder or create the desired folder using the New Folder button, after selecting the desired folder click the Save button. The necessary files for the new database will be automatically generated in the folder indicated. 9 7.1.2 Opening a local database In the upper Menu, access File > Open: Fig. 5 Open Menu On the Open screen, select an existing folder that contains the data files and click the Open Files button. The selected database will now be used, and the working directory will be displayed on the upper right side of the main window next to the Exit button. Fig. 6 - Open P. 9-36

10 7.1.3 Access through the front RS232 serial port of the control It is necessary to use a direct serial cable with DB9 connectors as shown below: DB9 Female DB9 Male Fig. 7 Serial cable diagram Disable the USB-Serial Port Adapter configuration of the control, by pressing the Menu key in the front panel of the control and go to: Settings / Local Communication Ports / USB-Serial Port Adapter and uncheck the Enable option, wait for the control to restart. By default, the Control leaves the factory with the configuration disabled. Connect the cable end with the male connector on the serial port of the computer and the tip with the female connector on the front serial port RS 232 of the Electronic Control TVC Access through the front USB port of the control It is required to use a cable with USB TYPE A and USB TYPE B connectors. Enable the USB-Serial Port Adapter configuration of the control, so on the front panel of the control, press the Menu and go to: Settings / Local Communication Ports / USB-Serial Port Adapter and check the Enable option, wait for the control to restart. By default, the Control leaves the factory with the configuration disabled. Connect the tip of the cable with the USB TYPE A connector to a USB port on the computer and the tip with the USB TYPE B connector on the front USB port Electronic Control TVC. The connection will be recognized by Windows as a COM serial communication port, if this does not occur, update the device driver with the fsl_ucwxp.inf file provided with the software. In the Windows Control Panel, right-click on the device and select Update Driver, point to the folder where the file is located. P

11 7.1.5 Starting the connection In the upper Menu of the TVC-Control software, click on the button Connect: Fig. 8 Connect button Select the port where the TVC Electronic Control is connected, click the symbol port and set the correct Transmissionn Rate and Flow Control. corresponding to the Fig. 9 Port Configuration The configuration executed must be the same as the Electronic Control. In case of doubt check the Transmission Rate and Flow Control settings of the TVC Electronic Control, by pressing the Menu in the front panel of the control and go to: Settings / Local Communication Ports. By default, the Control leaves the factory with the following settings: Transmission Rate: bps Flow Control: None P

12 When executing the connection with the Electronic Control you will be asked to execute the download of the equipment configuration files. Fig. 10 File Download Alert If the download is performed the software will display the current settings of the control, the information is kept in a temporary database, the local database remains unchanged. To save the control settings to the local database, go to: File> Save or File> Save As. Fig Menu File Settings can be partially saved; accessing the settings screens, there is on the lower right side of each screen, a save button. Clicking on this button only the data of the available screens will be saved in the database. 8 Control Buttons The following buttons will be found on the software configuration screens: Starts reading the electronic control settings, available only when the software is connected. Cancels any changes made or the operation in progress. Saves the forms settings that are available for editing in the local database. P

13 Saves the settings, from the forms that are available, to the local database and sends them to the electronic control. Available only when the software is connected. Starts automatic updating of displayed fields. Available only when the software is connected. Starts capturing data from displayed fields. Available only when the software is connected. Exports the captured data to a text file. Include a new field or record in the corresponding form. Deletes the corresponding field or record. Creates a new folder in the selected directory. Used to check the firmware version installed in the electronic control. Available only when the software is connected. Used to erase the mass memory registers in the electronic control. 14 Selects which electronic controls will have their settings read or changed, when two or more points are selected the priority for displaying data will be: 1 st R1; 2 nd R2; 3 rd R3. R1 Selects the settings of the control set to Regulator 1. R2 Selects the settings of the control set to Regulator 2. R3 Selects the settings of the control set to Regulator 3. 16 Allows you to limit access to software settings through passwords. By default, the use of passwords is disabled, to activate the feature uncheck the Disable Security Password option, click the save button and close the software. For the next attempts to open the software will be requested the user password. Only users with a level 3 profile can change or disable passwords. To change a password, select the desired profile, enter a value between 0000 to 9999 in the Password field, repeat the value entered in the Password Confirmation field and click the save button. Access profiles: Level 0: (standard password: 0000) Allows reading of configured parameters except for security passwords, reading of memory registers, and changing the date and time. Level 1: (standard password: 1111) Allows reading of configured parameters except for security passwords, read and clear memory registers and change the date and time. Level 2: (standard password: 2222) Allows you to read and change configuration parameters, read and clear memory registers, and change the date and time. Level 3: (standard password: 3333) Full access, including changingg and disabling passwords Data Dictionary Fig. 18 Data Dictionary Allows you to change the description of the fields displayed in the software. Select the language in which you want to perform the modification, all the texts used by the software will be displayed, locate the desired Displayed Text, execute the change and click the Save button. 22 Charge Profile Fig Charge profile It presents four profiles that allow adjustment settings in specific load periods or conditions. The profile regulation settings, when enabled, are now used by the electronic control during the configured period or while the activation condition is satisfied. The priority for profile activation analysis is 1st - Profile A, 2nd - Profile B, 3rd - Profile C, 4th - Profile D. When no activation condition is satisfied, or no profiles are enabled, the electronic control will use the parameters configured in Parameters Configuration Password user profiles Fig Password user profiles Form designed to configure the use and change of access passwords when the settings are executed directly in the electronic control interface. 28 Allows you to configure the action that the electronic control will perform when the digital input, connector X2-15, is triggered. Shortcuts Settings Sets the shortcut for specific settings when using the electronic control buttons FUNCTION 1 and FUNCTION 2. Auxiliary LED Configuration Allow the choice of specific errors that will trigger the auxiliary LEDs of the electronic control, generating a luminous indication. For more information, refer to the Control for single-phase voltage regulators Instruction Manual. P

29 Bank Operation Fig. 45 Bank Operation Operation mode. Selects the behavior of the regulator or group of regulators during the operation. Slave-Master The slave controls follow the TAP up or down commands of the master control. Operating in this mode the slave controls will not have their current position, current TAP, corrected to the same position as the master control. Position timing is not required for the operation. Master-Follower The slave controls follow the up or down TAP commands of the master control. Operating in this mode, the slave controls on the network will have their current position, current TAP, corrected to the same position as the master control. Timing is a requirement for operation. During bank switching, the lag of a position between the master control and the slave controls may occur temporarily. Individual The controls that make up the bank operate independently. Master voltage Selects the source of the load voltage used by the master to perform line regulation. Average of bank voltages P

30 The load voltage of the master shall be the arithmetic mean of the load voltages of the regulator bank members. Regulator voltage 1 The master load voltage will be the voltage measured by the regulator 1. Regulator voltage 2 The master load voltage will be the voltage measured by the regulator 2. Regulator voltage 3 The master load voltage will be the voltage measured by the regulator 3. Automatic mode switching Enables the automatic switching of the bank operation mode between INDIVIDUAL and Master-Slave modes. The mode change will occur according to the parameterization of the bank operation and activation deviation. Deviation from bank operation Maximum gap between regulator positions of different phases for the bank to start operation in Master- Slave mode. Total Equipment The number of devices to be inserted in the network. It is expected the minimum of two and the maximum of three equipment composing the bank. Deviation for bank activation Maximum gap between regulator positions of different phases for the bank to remain operating in INDIVIDUAL mode. When attempting to exceed the parameterized limit, the control network automatically switches to the Master-Slave mode while remaining in this mode while the adjustment needs to take place (TAP's) beyond the parameterized limit. 31 Firmware Update Fig. 46 Firmware Update Form to update the firmware of the control, locate the firmware file with extension.s19 and click the send button. The file name is alphanumeric, and the three numeric characters referr to the firmware version, exe. R213.S19 (file contains firmware version 2.13). It is recommended to perform the transfer with the Transmission Rate of bps, to change the transmission rate see Starting the Connection Send all settings Sends all settings from the local database to the electronic control Monitoring Telepresence Fig Telepresence It allows the continuous reading of up to five instantaneous quantities of electronic control. After selecting the desired points click the Refresh button to start updating the magnitudes. P

33 Mass Memory Fig. 50 Selection of mass memory points Allows selection of up to three quantities for reading and storage in the electronic control memory. After selecting the desired points, press the Send button, the control will start reading and recording the values according to the configured MASS MEMORY INTERVAL. Pre-existing records in mass memory can be deleted by pressing the Delete Files button. Fig Reading mass memory points P

34 To access the mass memory registers, press the Read button in the Settings tab and after the data transfer is finished go to the Reading tab.
