4 1. The Factbird 1.1. Introduction: The Factbird is a processing data device made by the Danish company Blackbird ApS. The Factbird delivers online data, which can be accessed through a secure account from computers and all kinds of mobile devices. When in operation, the Factbird collects data from the connected sensor and creates a log with timestamps. The data is stored on a secure cloud database, which can only be accessed by providing correct login details. By using the Factbird, it is possible to access both historical and real time data and hereby get a thorough overview of the production Purpose: The Factbird is created to help production companies monitor their historical, as well as real-time, production process data, which can then be used for status, analysis, and rapid fact-based decision making. It is designed to be installed in all kind of automated productions, and the plug and play solution makes it easy to mount and start using right away. The Factbird is made to give a precise and easily available overview of the production lines. Overall the Factbird can be used to: t - Provide production process data, which can be accessed anywhere - Provide both historical and real time data - Show if production is on target - Show unexpected stops causing downtime - Show numbers and duration of stops - Show productivity increase and decrease - Show best minute, hour, shift, day, week etc.

5 USER MANUAL 2. Installation 2.1. Prior to Installation The Factbird is a plug and play solution and is easy to install. Before installation, the following issues should be considered Location and placement for the Factbird The Factbird can be installed anywhere on a production line, where process data is needed. However, it might be recommendable to mount the Factbird at the end of the production line to get the most accurate number of units produced To reach an accurate result, the Factbird needs to be mounted on a location where a seperation of at least three mm. between the objects is found Wiring requirements To install the Factbird a standard European 230-volt power outlet is needed where the Factbird will be mounted Cautions regarding the placement of the product When mounting the Factbird, make sure the cords are in no risk of being caught in moving parts or placed in direct contact with hot surfaces Do not mount the Factbird where it will be exposed to water or extreme temperatures below zero or above 50 degrees Celsius Do not mount the Factbird where it will be exposed to continuously vibration or hard impacts Make sure that the Factbird is mounted where there is stable cellular coverage.

Unpacking and inspecting the product Carefully open the packaging and verify that all components have been included in the package (see picture 1). The package should include: - USB stick with guides and useful documents - The Factbird computer - Power supply - Sensor + cable (if purchased).

7 USER MANUAL Inspect all units for shipping damage. If damage has occurred during shipping, please contact Blackbird ApS to arrange a product replacement. Repack all unites in the original packing and return the package according to the agreements made with Blackbird ApS Installing the Factbird Mount the sensor as described in the manual enclosed with the sensor Connect the sensor to the Factbird device and tighten the rim to fasten the cable Insert the power supply into the Factbird and tighten the rim to fasten the cable Plug the power supply into a socket with a standard European 20-volt power supply. The Factbird device will turn on as soon as it is connected to power Adjust the sensor according to the directions given in the manual enclosed with the sensor The Factbird is now installed and ready to use Accessing data online When purchasing a Factbird, a personal account will be created on Blackbird.online. When accessing the account for the first time, follow the instructions on the generated to create password and gain access to the data. 8 3. Maintenance Maintenance of the Factbird computer TBA with Blackbird ApS. 4. Cautions and warnings 4.1. The power plug must match the outlet Do not attempt to open, modify or take apart computer or plugs The sensor is purchased seperately and is not a standard element in the Factbird kit. However guidance regarding choice of sensors can be made in cooporation with the Blackbird Support Team. Any queries regarding the sensor must be addressed to the individual manufactures of the sensor. 5. Disclaimer 5.1.
