FADAL TURN-KEY CNC REPLACEMENT from Power Automation The Fadal turn-key CNC replacement includes an operator panel with a 17" touch screen, sub panel with CNC control, stack light and keyboard assembly with mount and touch pad. The CNC not only has everything you are familiar with on your current Fadal, but we added many more amazing up to date features to give you a whole new CNC. The advanced software empowers the machine to move faster and with greater precision, producing smoother finishes with less wear and tear on the equipment. The PA FDL installs quickly, can easily be upgraded, and is customizable to fit your individual requirements and operational needs. And because our software can be updated online, card swaps or changes are not required to keep the CNC up to date with the newest technology. The changes can be downloaded and installed quickly and easily which means little down-time for your machines and work force! Emulation software replicates the functionality of your legacy Fadal control, while at the same time adding new and advanced features. The advanced technology of the control enables the machine to perform faster, more accurately and with less mechanical wear and tear. Both Fadal and non-fadal users, expert and novice, will find this control functional and easy to use.

4 FADAL TURN-KEY CNC REPLACEMENT OPERATOR PANEL The upgraded and improved hardware still has the same look and feel of your old control with little or no training needed. Updated control panel including all important buttons for a simple and efficient operation Easy to use and self explaining HMI for an intuitive operation Features Industrial 17" Touch Screen Display: Use the keyboard, the mouse, or simply touch the screen with your finger. An onscreen keyboard can be used in addition to the standard Hardware keyboard. The keyboard has the exact configuration as your Fadal: The articulated keyboard mount puts the keyboard at the angle and height that is ergonomically friendly to the operator. The integrated touch pad means you won t have to worry about another cable or to look for a flat surface to use your mouse. USB Slot: Primarily intended for flash drives to load programs. Any USB device can be plugged into the USB Slot. Spindle Load Meter: Depicts the spindle load percentage digitally from %. Block Skip: On-off switch. When in the on position, Block skip is active. Any block with an / before it will not be executed and the CNC will continue on to the next block. Optional Stop: On-off switch. When in the on position, Optional Stop is active. The CNC stops at any M01 in the program. To restart the CNC, START must be activated. Light Switch: On-off switch for the machine lights connected to the 110 VAC switch circuit. Emergency Stop: Emergency stop switch to put the machine in an emergency stop condition. Rapid Override: Four position detent knob that sets the rapid override percentage. Feed Override: Multiple position detent knob that sets the feed override percentage. Spindle Override: Multiple position detent knob that sets the spindle override percentage. Axis Selection: The axis selection knob is used to select an active axis when the op- erator panel MPG/hand wheel Is used (JOG mode must be active). This selection does not apply to the optional Remote MPG/ hand wheel. Increment Selection: The increment selection knob is used to select the increment that one click of the operator panel MPG will move an axis. MPG/hand wheel: When JOG mode is active, rotating the wheel moves the axis selected on the operator panel. Distance moved per click of the wheel is determined by the increment selection knob. CNC Start: Pressing the Start button executes CNC commands. Functions the same as the keyboard and HMI START. Slide Hold: Also known as Feed Hold. Pressing the slide hold button stops/holds all axis movements. Functions the same as the keyboard and HMI Slide Hold. Press START to release the slide hold condition.

6 State-of-the-art features for today's challenges SPINDLE FUNCTIONS WITH ADDITIONAL FEATURES Four pre-defined spindle speeds can be selected at any time at the touch of a button. The control remembers the last spindle speed and gives you the option to restart or reset that speed. A true jog function of the spindle allows change of speed in 50 RPM increments with a single touch. You can orient your spindle by M code or a simple push of a button. ANOTHER MAJOR ADDED DESIGN FEATURE: THE SERVICE (SETP) MENU This menu can be accessed while the machine is running a program and allows for immediate access to all inputs and outputs conditions. Set up the machine with four different security levels that require a log-on with different priorities. This gives individuals access to the set-up functions of the machine that they are trained and qualified to change. AXIS MOVEMENTS CAN BE CONTROLLED FROM THE KEYBOARD, MPG OR THROUGH ADVANCED TOUCH TECHNOLOGY Use touch screen axis buttons to jog and control your axis. Interpolated axis movements for X and Y can be completed by simply touching a button. ADVANCED FEATURES FOR THE AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGER Choose the option to step through a tool change process. The mass tool feature allows you to identify and add offsets to all your tools in one simple process. WE CAN UPDATE, ANALYZE AND TROUBLE- SHOOT YOUR CONTROL REMOTELY. This same remote feature is available to the customer, allowing supervisors and managers to remotely view the machines status and production. THE MACHINE STATUS LIGHT HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO A THREE-COLOR STACK LIGHT As part of your PA control upgrade, the Fadal blue machine status light was replaced with an up-todate three color LED machine status stack light assembly. This major upgrade now gives the operator an immediate indication of seven different machine conditions.
