4 4 Overview VFC 3610 & 5610 The VFC 3610 & 5610 series has been especially developed to meet the requirements of emerging markets. The VFC 3610 is an economical machinery drive. It offers V/f control in a power range from 0.4 kw to 22 kw. Compact dimensions and clever features make it suitable for a broad range of industries and applications. From HVAC and conveyors to woodworking and textile machines. The VFC 5610 is a high performance vector control product, available in the power range from 0.4 kw to 90 kw. Additionally to the V/f control mode it also offers SVC and provides high control accuracy in combination with a highly dynamic response. This allows it to meet the requirements of industries from machine tools, food and packaging machines to air compressors or printing and paper production. EFC 3610 & 5610 The Rexroth EFC 3610 & EFC 5610 are the series for the world wide market. They comply with all major certification standards, such as CE, UL, cul, RCM and EAC (replaces GOST R). EFC 3610 & 5610 not only have VFC 3610 & 5610 Functions, but also have additional series of functions. Drives synchronous motor,improved accuracy and reduced energy consumption. Build in C3 EMC filter. Adaptive cooling fan control. Designed for up to 45 C ambient temperature without derating. Characteristics like a wide input voltage range or a power loss ride through function, in combination with extra robust design, make it suitable for even the most demanding environments. Variety within the VFC series helps it to exactly adapt to each application's requirements. The VFC 3610 is a basic solution for all V/f applications, whereas the VFC 5610 can fulfill highest demands regarding performance and control accuracy. 7 7 EFC 3610 & 5610 The Rexroth EFC 3610 & 5610 series has been developed for the world wide market. It comes with the relevant certifications and is fully integrated into the worldwide Bosch Rexroth service organization. The EFC series shares the parameter structure, dimensions and connections with the VFC series, but contains several enhanced features. It comes with an integrated C3 mains filter, permanent magnet motor control (EFC 5610), and an extended range of fieldbus option modules. Built-in mains filter Complies with EN category C3 requirements and reduces electromagnetic interference on the power grid. Shielding motor cable length: 15m (up to 4 kw), EFC 3610 & m ( kw) EMC filter can be disconnected by EMC screw for use in environments that require especially low leakage currents. Adaptive fan control The fan is controlled depending on the temperature, to save energy and reduce noise. Up to 45 C ambient temperature without derating The EFC series can be used in up to 45 C ambient temperature (VFC 40 C) without a reduction of output power. 11 11 Accessories Panel extension cables and mounting plates To be installed in a cut out in the cabinet door. The panel can be removed from the drive to be installed in the mounting plate. Extension cables are available in 2 m and 3 m. Dust cover/led panel Dust cover When the drive is being controlled through the I/O terminals or a communication interface. 12 12 Extension card module As part of the modular design concept for the VFC & EFC series, the separately available Option Card Module offers the user a variety of customization options. The extension card module provides two slots that can be used for a range of extension card module. Cards include an I/O extension card, a multi relay card and various communication extension card module, such as Profibus DP and CANopen. 14 14 PC Software Start-up and data back-up The Rexroth VFC and EFC frequency converters can be commissioned and operated remotely with the free PC software. The connection to the PC is established via a standard Mini-USB interface. With the software, it is very easy to specify converter speeds, control starting and stopping and adjust the parameters. Parameters can be saved and stored to ensure reliable archiving. Firmware update and ASF download The PC software also allows the user to download the latest firmware release to take advantage of added functions. ASF The ASF (Application Specific Firmware) allows to download customer or application specific functions, therefore increasing adaptability and allowing a faster response to market requirements.
