3 2 MATED ERVs PLEASE NOTE: It is assumed that the RTU fan is running at 400 CFM/Ton (i.e. If the RTU is a 6 ton unit, the RTU fan is running at 2,400 CFM). Min OA ERV is sized for 33% of the total fan capacity of the RTU (i.e. If the ERV is mated to a 6 ton unit, the ERV would be sized for 800 CFM). The IAQ ERV is sized to handle the same amount of outside air as the Min OA ERV, but uses the iaire patent pending technology to reduce the size of the ERV wheel. Both the Min OA ERV and the IAQ ERV come standard with the following accessories: Built in economizer damper, Controller that controls both the ERV and economizer, VOC sensor, CO2 sensor, two (2) temperature probes (outside air and supply air), variable quantity of ionization devices sized to handle the airflow of the RTU. 4 3 OA HOOD ECONOMIZER SYSTEMS OUTSIDE AIR HOOD ECONOMIZER PACKAGE For units that have a modulating damper, the unit is equipped with a damper and modulating actuator on it. You need to have a modulating damper to pick any of the package options in digit 4. AIRFLOW HOODS AND DUCTS All flow hood and duct units have airflow sensing technology built into the package so units read accurately once installed. All units also have the ability to change standard economizer controllers to CFM based control systems and can bring CFM points out to BACnet. All units eligible for LEED credit with CFM output and a low CFM alarm point. ERV HOODS All ERV hoods must be ordered when ordering the ERV. Hoods for the ERV can only add the airflow option as the ERV will include package and accessory components based on ERV ordered. 5 4 HOOD AND DUCT PACKAGES/OPTIONS The base airflow monitoring hood or duct (selected in the 4th and 8th digit of the part number) has airflow sensing technology built into the package so units read accurately once installed. They have the ability to change standard economizer controllers to CFM based control systems and can bring CFM points out to BACnet. When you add a modulating damper (selected in the 4th digit of the part number), a modulating damper will be added to the hood. A controls package should be selected (8th digit of the part number) to control the damper. The packages are as follows: IAQ (A) - Supplied with controller, VOC sensor, CO2 sensor, temperature probes (2) and ionization devices. This will allow you to monitor CFM through the hood and will reduce our OA with the iaire patent pending process. DCV (B) - Supplied with controller, CO2 sensor and temperature probes (2). This will allow you to monitor CFM through the hood while controlling the damper based on CFM. ECON (C) - Supplied with controller and temperature probes (2). This will allow you to monitor CFM through the hood while controlling the damper to a set CFM position. CO2 DIRECT CONTROL (D) - Supplied with CO2 sensor. This will allow for output from the CO2 sensor directly to the modulating damper to control the damper. Options that come with the airflow hoods and ducts are as follows: HUM / ENTH (A) - For use when converting any of the packages from dry bulb to wet bulb or enthalpy control of the damper. BACNET (B) - For use when translating values from the system and sending them out to BACnet.

6 5 ECONOMIZER SYSTEMS IAQ CONTROLS PACKAGE The iaire IAQ controls packages come with the items and quantity outlined below. These packages will allow you to reduce the amount of outside air needed by up to 2/3 and will improve your indoor air quality. This system is set up to go directly on an existing economizer or OA hood that has a modulating damper. The packages are a lower cost alternative to buying each part individually. 7 6 ECONOMIZER SYSTEMS CONTROLLER The iaire economizer controller is used to control the economizer actuator and all sensors to achieve outdoor air savings and clean air unlike any other system before. 8 7 SENSORS BUILDING PRESSURE SENSOR The iaire building pressure sensor offers low-pressure measurement for building energy management and comfort control w.c. SEN-DP-C TEMPERATURE PROBE iaire s 10K, type 2, NTC temperature transmitters are a cost effective solution for all of your temperature measurement needs. The transmitters are accurate, durable, and reliable. TP-B-0-J A HUMIDITY SENSOR iaire s humidity sensors are great for high end HVAC, clean rooms, green houses and other locations needing to measure temperature and humidity. It also offers the ability to determine enthalpy in HVAC systems. 0-10V or 4-20mA output. SEN-HUM-A VOC SENSOR The iaire VOC sensor is a versatile product and can be mounted to any standard wall. It is designed for VOC detection and should not be used as a safety detector (for example, a gas alert detector). 0-10V or 4-20mA output. SEN-VOC-A CO2 SENSOR The iaire CO2 detector provides real-time CO2 levels and is designed for basic application in HVAC and ventilation systems applications. 0-10V or 4-20mA output. SEN-CO2-B

9 8 ACCESSORIES 20 IN-LB ACTUATOR iaire s low torque actuator works on small dampers, economizer units, residential zoning equipment as well as terminal units. MTR IN-LB ACTUATOR iaire s medium torque actuator works on outside air dampers, mixing boxes, small rooftop units, return air dampers, zone isolation dampers and economizer units. MTR IN-LB ACTUATOR iaire s high torque actuator works on outside air dampers, mixing boxes, rooftop units, return air dampers, zone isolation dampers and vortex dampers. MTR-0004 ACTUATOR FLOOR MOUNT Mounting kit allows for foot mounting of the actuator. Mounting should be used for in-the-air stream applications or other acceptable location for foot mounting. MTR-0006 ACTUATOR FRAME MOUNT Mounting kit allows for direct mounting of actuator to the damper frame. Should be used with louvers and vents as well as when floor mounting is not permitted. MTR-0007

10 9 ACCESSORIES ACTUATOR WALL MOUNT Mounting kit allows for economical mounting of the actuator to a variety of surfaces. Mount should be used where the actuator can be rigidly mounted and a linear stroke output is required. MTR-0008 MOUNTING PLATE The iaire mounting plate offers easy mounting when you have multiple ion air cleaners for your system. It is located near the inlet to the HVAC supply blower so ion air cleaners can mount easily and provide optimized ion coverage. UNV V TRANSFORMER The iaire transformer is to be used when additional power is needed on your rooftop unit to support the ionization air cleaner system. 75KV with built in circuit breaker. TRN-0002
