The remote signalling modules of the DEHNsignal product family do the remote signalling of complex surge protective devices of the Red/Line product range with 4-wire interface DEHNsignal DV or -wire interface DEHNsignal DV P. Supplied by the surge protective devices to be controlled, DEHNsignal remote signalling devices provide the remote signal as a and an output. An evaluable group signal is generated out of the signals of individual protective circuits. This allows a continuous telemonitoring of the devices. As also phase failures are registered in addition to the function of the surge protection, the possibilities for using DEHNsignal devices can be amplified. Whenever high safety and availability requirements have to be fulfilled, DEHNsignal devices always provide the perfect solution. If the connection is chosen for the use of a DEHNsignal remote signalling module instead of the, the correspondingly adapted reception module DEHNsignal E DV has to be used for evaluating the signal. The optical fibre connection between remote signalling and reception module can be established easily thanks to the simple plug-in system for s integrated in all DEHNsignal devices. The reception module in DEHNsignal E DV transforms the signal into an electrical signal. The user is then provided with a floating changeover contact like in the DEHNsignal remote signalling module. The green light of DEHNsignal E DV signalises the readiness for operation of the reception module and the functional readiness of the surge protective device to be controlled. With the transmission system, the remote signalling of surge protective devices can be realised even for controlling highly sensitive facilities (e.g. explosive areas). 34
