1 Platinum Lift Power Recliner with 6-Motor Massage & Heat WARNING To reduce the risk of injury: Do not attempt to disassemble or service the actuators. No serviceable parts are inside. Introduction: This troubleshooting guide lists the possible causes in the order that are easiest to check, followed by the part most likely to be the cause. La-Z-Boy always recommends to test the potential failed part with a good, known working part, or through the use of a multimeter. When testing the system with a good, known working part, always follow these steps: 1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 2. Disconnect the power supply (transformer) from the connector behind the recliner. 3. Remove the (2) 9-volt batteries from the power supply, if installed. 4. Wait 60 seconds. 5. Test the system using a good, known working part. 6. When reconnecting the system, reverse the steps above. Install (2) quality name brand 9-volt batteries, connect the power supply to the chair and then plug the power cord into a working outlet. working at all, the LED light on the power supply is illuminated (or flashing) and the backlight on the hand wand works when a button is pressed. duty cycle has been activated. These features have a 50% duty cycle. not connected to the cable bundle, at the back of the chair. Allow the chair to rest for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes of continuous operation of the 1PL lift and recline features, allow the features to rest for 10 minutes to avoid activating the duty cycle lock out. When the duty cycle has been activated, the chair will not operate at the maximum time period for 10 minutes. Make sure the power supply is properly connected to the cable bundle connector at the back of the chair. Make sure the connectors are fully seated and locked. The system has experienced an over current. The 1PM is designed for a single occupant not exceeding 350 lbs. Stop pressing the button or toggle and remove excess load. If the system is not overloaded, check for a short circuit or ground fault. The lift / recline actuator is not connected. Make sure the lift / recline actuator is connected and fully seated to the master control module. Test with a good, known working power supply. If the unit works, replace the power supply.
