FlexiMotion Owner s Manual
Table of Contents Base Setup Electric Components Setup Remote Control Setting Frequencies Massage Battery Mattress Retainer Bar Helpful Hints Notes Note: Different models may come with different remotes. The process of installation & setting does not alter.
Weight The recommended weight limits for the FlexiMotion Adjustable Bed are as follows and include the weight of the mattress which will reduce this weight limit by 50kg depending on the mattress size: King split 240kg, Queen split 245kg, King single 235kg. The Bed will support the recommended weight limits if spread evenly across the base. The head or foot function cannot bare this weight limit alone. The bed must not be entered or exited in any upright position. Do not sit on the head or foot sections while in the raised position. Exceeding the recommended weight limits could damage your bed base and void your warranty. Remember: DO NOT SIT ON THE END OF THE BED. You may void your warranty. Your adjustable is NOT designed for this. Please use a chair when getting dressed, putting on shoes etc. Sounds The massage function will produce a noticeable tone during operation. As the massage intensity level is increased, the tone produced will also increase. The volume of this tone is directly related to the location environment. For example, when demonstrated in a showroom, the surrounding environmental noise will cover some of the massage noise. However, when installed in a home setting with wooden floors, carpeted or not, the massage volume will be more noticeable.
Base Setup For easy installation, place the bed base box in desired location with the bottom of the box facing up. Remove the packaging materials, making sure not to puncture the box with any sharp objects. If the legs are not desired, skip this step 1. Remove the bed base from the box. 2. Remove Components attached to underside of base (found between leg supports) 3. Remove mattress retainer bar attached to the underside of the frame. 4. To install the legs, thread the 6 legs into the leg holes provided (Your model may have 4 or 6 legs. Installations is the same). Important: Two people are required to move the bed base. Do not drag across the floor. Lift & turn the bed before gently placing on floor. Do not use the legs as pivots, as uneven weight distribution may bend the legs and void your warranty
Electronic Component Setup. If Remote stops working. Emergency lowering button will lower FlexiMotion to FLAT position Massage connection located on this unit. Power Supply and Power Cord Connection plugs to head motor and foot motor. LED light system can also be connected to this unit. Control Box
Remote control The arrows above HEAD and FOOT will raise each section. By tapping these arrows you can move through the full 87 degrees in the HEAD section and 43 degrees in the FOOT section. By holding the arrow down, the FlexiMotion will move in a smooth plane into a desired position. The bed will stop upon reaching its maximum height or when the button is released. (2) Buttons on the remote have diagrams of the FlexiMotion base. Install (3) AAA batteries into the back of the remote control (Please refer to diagram on the left to operate the remote control) These (2) diagrams represent the preset positions these buttons will place the bed into. ZERO G and FLAT are preset positions; the bed base will automatically adjust when pressed FLAT will return the base to a level position. For massage instructions, see page 10
Remote control By releasing the button the bed will stop in current position. These buttons will simultaneously raise and lower both the HEAD and the FOOT sections of the bed. ZG, FLAT and ANTI SNORE are preset positions; the bed base will automatically adjust when pressed. FLAT will return the base to a level position. MEMORY A & MEMORY B are also preset positions, however to reset the preset positions to one of your own choice, hold down either MEMORY A or MEMORY B when in desired position until the remote begins to flash blue. Install (3) AAA batteries into the back of the remote control Please refer to diagram on the right to operate the remote control The flashlight button will turn the remote into a flashlight. These buttons control the HEAD of the Bed. The HEAD will raise 87 degrees. By holding this button down, the bed will smoothly raise. By releasing the button the bed will stop in current position. This button on the remote will turn on the LED lights on the underside of the bed base. These buttons control the FOOT of the Bed. The FOOT will raise 43 degrees. By holding this button down, the bed will smoothly raise.
Setting Frequencies There are several different frequency options to choose from for independent control of multiple bed bases in the same area. If there are multiple electronic beds in the same house, choose different frequencies for each FlexiMotion Base. To set frequencies; unplug the power cord from one of the power source. This will ensure power is only in one half of the bed base. With the remote for this bed base, select a frequency for this base by placing the (6) switches in the back of the remote to a particular position. Once this has been selected, hold the two arrows, which raise the head and the feet. Confirmation that the frequency has been set will be that the buttons on this remote will begin to flash. Once this is done, unplug the power for this bed base and repeat process for the other bed base. Note: If simultaneous operation of both bed bases is required, match the frequencies on both remotes (both bed bases should already come matching).
Massage To activate the head massage function, push the HEAD button once. To turn off head massage, push the HEAD button once again For Foot Massage, push the FOOT button once. To turn off head massage, push the FOOT button once again through the different levels of massage. Please allow the massaging system to rest for 30 minutes after automatic massage shut off. If both HEAD and FOOT are on. Press the TIMER/ALL OFF button to turn both massage sections off. Massage Timer Press the TIMER button to select a 10, 20, or 30 minute massage. From 30 minutes, press TIMER button twice to reset to 10 minutes. The blue light on top indicates a 10, 20, or 30 minute timer setting. Massage Intensity When Head or Foot massage is initially turned on, the default intensity is set to low. Pressing the Massage intensity button will cycle
Massage To initiate the Massage function, press either PLUS sign on the WAVE or INTENSITY. WAVE Function There are (4) different waves in which the massage can be used. To increase the frequency of the massage wave, press the plus button. Massage Timer Press the TIMER button to select a 10, 20, or 30 minute massage. From 30 minutes, press TIMER button twice to reset to 10 minutes. The blue light on top indicates a 10, 20, or 30 minute timer setting. Massage INTENSITY There are (3) massage intensities available. The massage is initially turned on; the default intensity is set to low. Pressing the plus button will increase the intensity. Please allow the massaging system to rest for 30 minutes after automatic massage shut off.
Back Up Batteries For emergency use only, in case of a power outage. Batteries are not to be used for normal operation of the bed. *Rechargeable batteries may be used, and will be changed through the power supply when the power comes back on. Type: (2) Alkaline 9 volt only Store the battery pack in a convenient location for emergency use. Install the 9 volt batteries into the power supply. If the bed is in an upright position, press FLAT button to lower the bed.
Mattress Retainer Bar Locate the mattress retainer bar brackets. Undo the 4 screws with the Allen Key provided, and remove the steel plates. Place the retaining bar in line with the holes on the steel plates. Fix the steel plates and retaining bar with the 4 screws. Tighten the screws with the Allen Key until the retaining bar is firmly secure.
Helpful Hints If one or more functions on the bed base have stopped operating Check under the bed base to verify that the wired connections are secure and that there are no cords or bedding obstructing the movement of the base If the lights on your remote no longer illuminate and will not operate your adjustable bed base. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly Install (3) new AAA batteries in the remote In all of the remote controls buttons illuminate, however nothing on your bed base will operate Check to ensure the green LED light is illuminated on both the control box and transformer. If there is no light, verify that the input and power cords are properly connected. Unplug the base for 1 hour to reset the electronic components Plug bed base into a different electrical outlet, or test current outlet with another working appliance (a grounded, electrical surge protector is recommended). Make sure the frequency switches on the remote and the control box match. If any problems persist or should you have any further questions. Please do not hesitate to call us on
