The OM100 system comprises of a temperature controller and air pressure regulator. The processing temperature is adjustable up to 250 C. This range is ideal for processing of all Macromelt materials. The gun is capable of moulding small intricate parts as well as large and complex parts quickly and effectively. Tool technology The melting tank is integrated into the hand gun. 3 OPTIMEL 550 Macromelt Moulding station for prototyping and low volume production The OptiMel 550 moulding station has been designed for the manufacturing of samples and small run production. The stationary system is based on the OM 100 completed by the necessary accessories. The fi xed station design allows for safe and consistent use of the gun. The station is capable of moulding small intricate parts as well as larger more complex parts quickly and effectively. The design of the station allows for easy and consistent moulding of sample & low production runs. Tool technology The sliding tool holder locks against OM 100 at which time manually controlled injection can commence. A timer unit for the OM550 is also available. The system can be confi gured as single or double injection station. A two station unit is ideal for two step moulding processes, for moulding two different parts or simply to double the throughput with use of two mould sets. The stations can simultaneously run different moulding applications with independant mould settings. Tool technology The toggle lever clamping system locks the tool in injection position. Once the tool is locked this starts the complete injection cycle. The OptiMel 2002 has an integral automatic process control. The OptiMel 2002 is a one operator workstation with up to 60% higher output than OM2000. It is also possible to integrate the OptiMel 2002 into fully automatic production lines.
