Ever rising energy costs and increasing focus on climate protection are pushing the need for energy savings more and more to the forefront. In daylight-dependent and motion/presence-dependent lighting control systems the available daylight in a room is supplemented as required by artificial light from luminaires equipped with dimmable electronic control gears. Light sensors detect the lighting level comprising artificial light and natural daylight. The groups of luminaires are controlled according to their position in the room and the amount of available daylight so that a predefined lighting level is maintained. Users can adjust the lighting at any time to a level that meets their specific needs. If a motion/presence sensor is also used the lighting is automatically switched on when someone enters an empty room or if there is someone in the room. This significantly increases the potential energy savings still further. From high-end to extremely simple. With its sophisticated functions and clever modular design the miniaturized MULTI 3 system gives designers the freedom to create intelligent cost-effective energy-saving applications in the tightest of spaces. New standards. The MULTI 3 controller is now even smaller, with a height of only 21 mm. It therefore complies with the standard dimensions for T5 ECGs and is ideal for installation in ceilings. Now you see it, now you don t. The new ceiling sensor in the MULTI 3 systems has a diameter of only 50 mm and can be installed unobtrusively anywhere with no loss of functionality. Other light and presence sensors are available to extend the system. Simple setup. The system can be installed and commissioned in no time at all. A highly varied modular system. The perfect solution here is group-based daylight-dependent control in combination with presence detection. The 50 mm mini recessed ceiling sensor for light and presence detection is unobtrusive so it does not spoil the look of the ceiling or the interior architecture. The controller can be installed in a suspended ceiling or in a small distribution board. Installation is simple and can be completed at any time. Energy-efficient light management with maintenance-free radio control. The system can be conveniently operated with battery-less EnOcean radio switches which are simply attached by adhesive to a smooth surface. There is then no need to install a control cable to the switches. This opens up new applications, such as in rooms with glass walls, flexible partitions or various surface designs. Up to four lighting groups can be synchronized with on another so that up to 16 light and presence sensors can cover a larger area. 12 TOUCH DIM Simple dimming without a controller or dimmer switch: Touch DIM. OSRAM has come up with a cost-effective idea for providing simple lighting control with DALI ECGs. A new function has been added to DALI ECGs: Touch DIM. Dimming with line voltage. With Touch DIM it is now possible to dim and switch the control gear directly with line voltage at the DALI control terminals. There is no longer any need for a separate controller as the ECG itself acts as the controller. 28 EASY COLOR CONTROL Light to suit your mood: EASY Color Control. Lighting control for static and dynamic illumination. The EASY Color Control light management system en ables both static and dynamic lighting concepts to be implemented. A single control unit can control four output channels separately. An integrated sequencer with four individual sequences is also available, as are 16 freely definable lighting scenes. The system can be easily extended with up to 16 control units/64 channels with the aid of plug system protected against polarity reversal. With the aid of the system coupler up to four EASY systems can be combined, expanding the system to as many as 64 controllers (256 channels). usages, the EASY Touch Panel provides individual solutions. Simple startup and freedom to label all the elements makes it a multitalented system with a high degree of flexibility. If the control units are connected to a USB port on a PC via an adapter cable, scenes and sequences can be easily created via a graphical software interface. Colors can be selected, copied and adjusted at the click of a mouse. The preview function provides an initial offline impression of the lighting sequence. All the settings are automatically taken from the control units. IR or radio receivers for installation in luminaires or ceilings enable all the important functions to be accessed via remote control. Simple jogwheel control can be achieved with the EASY Color Drive wall control element and the EASY Hybrid Remote. A pushbutton coupler installed behind the control element in the flush-mounted box enables conventional pushbuttons, switches or motion sensors to be connected. 29 DYNAMIC RGB LIGHT RGB applications with LEDs and fluorescent lamps. RGB applications with LEDs. LED modules are ideal for all RGB effect lighting applications in which conventional fluorescent lamps and low-voltage halogen lamps reach the limits of their capabilities. The advantages of the small LED modules are obvious extremely compact dimensions, low thermal output, long life, high color intensity and a wide variety of designs. EASY Color Control is suitable in particular for LED applications because with the all-in-one OT EASY 60 II there is no need for additional power supplies or control modules. RGB applications with fluorescent lamps. The QUICKTRONIC INTELLIGENT DALI ECG is the perfect DIM ECG for RGB colored lighting applications with fluorescent lamps.
