8 Data Acquisition & On Line Calibration CPCB Guidelines now make it mandatory for Service Providers to demonstrate On Line Calibration from Remote Location of CAAQMS & CEMS

9 Data Acquisition & On Line Calibration The Local Data Acquisition System connected to the Analysers should be through Serial Port RS / Ethernet TCP-IP/ ModBus on TCP. Using Analog signal connection 4-20 ma/ 0-1 V Calibration not possible. Communication with Central Software through SPTN, GSM, GPRS, Radio, Ethernet TCP-IP Real Time Data Acquisition (Gas, Dust, Meteo,...) Bi-directional communication with a central software Failures, alarms and over thresholds signalling Quality code allocation to each data Complete traceability of actions and data on the system (validation, modification of the configuration, ) The raw data (before validation and modification) are stored in the database All the modifications on the data are recorded with the ID of the User, Date & Hour Automatic On Line Calibration management and configuration of Analysers First level of automatic data validation Local storage of data & local Internet server Web interface for remote control of the instruments

10 Data Acquisition & On Line Calibration Protocols for access to different make of Analysers to be included like Thermo, API, Ecotech, Horiba, Seres, Environics.. from different manufacturers of Gas, dust and Meteorological instruments (including all the major manufacturers) Regular updation to include communication protocol to be provided Current Service Providers of Data Acquisition system are not using protocol of Exchange of Data following ISO 7168 standard. Providers are picking up the data pushed from the Local Data Acquisition System on FTP generating a.csv file. This does not provide any security and prone for change of data. Requirement of On Line Calibration, access & control of Analyser not possible. Sometimes Providers are just collecting Data through Analog Signals which is not bi-directional form of communication and Analysers are not addressable
