2 2 Installation Restrictions for I/O Module Nest AMN12 High-speed Nest for Analog I/O Modules (*1) -Always install in Nest No. 1 (See Figures 1, 2 and 5). -Do not install any I/O module nests in Nests No. 2 through No. 4 (See Figures 1, 2 and 5). -When using non-amn12 I/O Module Nest with AMN12, always install it in Nest No. 5 (See Figures 2 and 5). AMM22T Multiplexer Module Installed in AMN31 Nest for Terminal I/O Modules (*2) -Do not install non-amm22t I/O module below Multiplexer Module (See Figures 3, 4 and 8) because AMM22T is a module for thermocouple entry. If there were a heat source below the module, a reference junction compensation error occur. -If there is another module (heat source) below Multiplexer Module when using 19" Rack Mountable Type, a thermal shield must be inserted between the multiplexer module and the heat source (See Figures 6 and 7). AMN51 Nest for Communication Cards (*3) -Only one nest is installable in PFCS/PFCD. Its position is fixed as Nest No. 2. 5 5 *1: The Multiplexer Module and Digital I/O Module cannot be installed in the same I/O Module Nest. *2: When the operation mode of ADM52T is in time-proportioning ON/OFF in installing in AFS10S/AFS10D/AFS20S/ AFS20D/AFG10S/AFG10D/AFG20S/AFG20D, only one module can be installed in Slot 1 (see table below). *3: The table in next page shows installation restrictions by operation mode when installing in AFS10S/AFS10D/AFS20S/AFS20D/ AFG10S/AFG10D/AFG20S/AFG20D (No modules can be installed in Slots marked N/A). When the operation mode of ADM51C is time-proportioning ON/OFF, two modules can be installed in Slots 1 and 3. However, when installing one module only, a general ADM C can be installed in Slots 3 and 4. When the operation mode of ADM52C is pulse -width-output, two modules can be installed in Slots 1 and 3. However, when installing one module only, a general ADM C can be installed in Slots 3 and 4. When the operation mode of ADM52C is in time -proportioning ON/OFF, only one module can be installed in Slot 1. *4: Installing two modules in one nest allows one to use a pair of redundant modules or two sets of module. *5: These modules cannot be installed on CENTUM CS 1000 Release 1. *6: This module and ACM11/ACM12 cannot be installed in the same AMN33 Nest for Communication Modules. *7: The module can be installed in Slots 1 and 3 only. Other IOMs cannot be installed in Slot 2 or 4. The module can be combined with AMM12C, AMM22C, AMM32C, AMM32CJ and AMM25C in the same I/O module nest, and AMM12T, AMM22M, AMM22T and AMM22TJ can be installed in Slots 1 and 3. When using AFS10S/AFS10D/AFS20S/AFS20D/AFG10S/AFG10D/AFG20S/ AFG20D, Terminal Type Multiplexer Modules cannot be installed in AMN32. *8: AMM12C, AMM22C, AMM25C, AMM32C, and AMM32CJ can be combined with AMM12T, AMM22M, AMM22T and AMM22TJ in the PFCS/PFCD Field Control Station (Use AMN32 Nest). In this case, one Terminal Type Multiplexer Module and up to two Connector Type Multiplexer Modules can be installed. When combining these modules, the Terminal Type is installed in Slot 1 or 3 and no module can be installed in Slot 2 or 4 (right slot of Slot 1 or 3). 6 6 Restrictions on Loading of Input/Output Modules by Heating Volume When you install I/O modules in ANS/AND50 Node, the following conditions for heating volume must also be met. Pay particular attention if you install many power-supply type APM11 Pulse Input Modules. Condition A: Check that the I/O module nest (IOU) meets the following condition: (I/O module evaluation point) 4.8 Condition B: Check that the node interface unit (NIU) meets the following condition: (I/O module evaluation point) 24.0 How to Evaluate 1. Calculate an evaluation point in IOU units from Table I/O Module Evaluation Point. When all IOUs evaluation points meet the above Condition A, it is not required to check if Condition B is met. If there is an IOU which does not meet Condition A, go to Step If there is an IOU which does not meet Condition A, calculate an evaluation point in NIU units to check if Condition B is met. If Condition B is not met, add NIUs to meet Condition B. 7 7 Protection of RIO Module Vacant Slots When I/O modules are not installed, dummy covers should be provided for the backboard connectors to protect them against corrosion. T9081EF: Dummy frame for AMN1 Nest (Analog I/O Module ) T9081FB: Dummy frame for RJC (AMN1 Nest ) T9081CV(*1): Dummy plate for AMN3 Nest (Digital I/O Module, Multiplexer Module, etc.) T9081PV: Dummy plate for AMN5 Nest (Communication Module) *1: The width of T9081CV is same as that of Multiplexer Module (Connector Type) or Digital I/O module (Connector type). 8 8 Analog I /O Module Current/Voltage Input Modules These modules receive 4-20 ma from 2-wire transmitters and 1-5 V standardized signals. They can also receive signals other than standard 4-20 ma or 1-5 V signals. AAM11B can be combined with a transmitter which supports BRAIN communications. Use our BRAIN terminal to specify parameters for a transmitter. Do not share current signals with other receivers. To share signal, attach Shunt Resistance (250 ) to current-output module and share voltage output.
