10 MOBILE DATA TERMINAL VEHICLE INSTALLATIONS Reference Number: A D D E N D U M NO. 1 The following shall form part of the tender documents issued by the City of Guelph s Purchasing Department, October, NOTE: the acknowledgement of this addendum must be indicated on FT2 DELETE from page PUMP-1, PUMP-3, PUMP-5, PUMP-6, PUMP-7, AND PUMP-8 ADD to page PUMP-1, PUMP-3, PUMP-5, PUMP-6, AND PUMP-7 ADD to page PUMP-8 Vehicle Mount and Docking Station Pump 8 has been supplied to Guelph Fire with a sliding laptop mount pre-installed. See attachment for mount details. The City of Guelph prefers to utilize the supplied mount but understands that it may not be compatible with proposed docking station. Please indicate in your response if you will be utilizing or replacing the mount for Pump-8. If mount is replaced winning bidder will be responsible for all labour and materials required to remove the existing mount. The City of Guelph requires that the vendor supply and install a laptop mounting system, including a locking docking station for a Panasonic CF-53 Toughbook, Or utilize existing laptop mounting system, supply and install a locking docking station for a Panasonic CF- 53 Toughbook. 1

11 The docking station must have at least one Serial, one Ethernet (Rj-45), two USB 2.0 inputs and a VGA output. The vendor will be responsible for performing all installation related tasks including but not limited to installation of mount, docking station, all power and data cables required for the installation. The vendor will be responsible for supplying all required power and data cables as well as any miscellaneous material required for the installation. The proposed mount and docking station must be installed on the dash in front of the passenger. The mount must be able to pull-out, tilt and rotate 15 degrees to allow for easy operation by the passenger. The laptop must not restrict the field of view of the driver. The vendor will be responsible and must perform any modifications required to allow for installation of the mount and docking station. The vendor will be responsible for supply and installation of any miscellaneous materials required for installation. Bidders must provide cut sheets and product information / diagrams for the mounts and docking stations they will be supplying. Battery Protector The City of Guelph requires that the vendor supply and install a Watchdog Battery Protector or an equivalent device. The vendor will be responsible for performing all installation related tasks including but not limited to installation of the Watchdog Battery Protector, all power cables and any other misc. hardware required for installation. The vendor will be responsible for supplying all required power and data cables as well as any miscellaneous material required for the installation. Bidders must provide product cut sheets for the proposed battery protector. Rugged Modem Installation The City of Guelph requires that the vendor install a Sixnet 5800v2 wireless Modem /GPS and all-in-one puck style antenna to be supplied by the City of Guelph. The vendor will be responsible for performing all installation related tasks including but not limited to installation of the wireless modem and antenna, all power and data cables required for modem operation. The City of Guelph will be supplying the power, Ethernet, RS235 serial cable as well as the cables for the puck antenna. The vendor must indicate in their response the required length for the city supplied cables.
