8 3 Option cards of MOVITRAC LTE-B Installation 3 Option cards of MOVITRAC LTE-B 3.1 Installation Disconnect the MOVITRAC LT from the supply system before starting to work. Observe the corresponding operating instructions. WARNING Electric shock due to charged capacitors. Dangerous voltage levels may still be present inside the unit and at the terminals up to ten minutes after disconnection from the power supply. Severe or fatal injuries. Wait ten minutes after disconnecting the frequency inverter from the power supply as well as disconnecting the line voltage and the DC 24 V voltage. Then, establish that the unit has been de-energized. Only then, start to work on the unit. For installation of the respective option card, proceed as follows. 1. Plug the option card into the control terminal of the frequency inverter. 2. Tighten the clamping screws at the frequency inverter to ensure stable electrical contact. 3. For example, the pressure of a unit can be regulated, when the drive controls a pump and the PI controller receives feedback via a pressure transducer. Main advantages: Small dimensions Encapsulated housing makes the controller robust and protects the environment. 14 3 Option cards of MOVITRAC LTE-B PI controller Startup and operation Function potentiometer 1 (POT1): Specifications of reference voltage (internal setpoint) For applications that require a fixed operating point (internal setpoint), an integrated potentiometer (POT2) is available so that no external potentiometer must be used. S4 must be opened (off) to use this function. The voltage can be set to a value between 0 V (left stop) and 10 V (right stop). The preset voltage can be measured at the measuring points of the option card. Measuring of reference voltage ON POT POT2 TEST PT INFORMATION In case an external reference is used (voltage or current), set the potentiometer POT1 to zero (left stop). Otherwise POT2 will cause a deviation. When setting 4 20 ma is used for feedback (terminal 7) or for reference (terminal 7), and setting 0 10 V is used for another input (e.g V reference, 4 20 ma feedback) the voltages measured at terminal 6 and 7 differ under stable operating conditions. This is caused by the 2.5 V deviation that is internally generated to support 4 20 V operation. The input 0 10 V is compensated nominal 2.5 V below the input 4 20 ma. For the entire scope of compensation requires 5 full revolutions for both potentiometers (1 and 2). To avoid mechanical damage, this fitting is revoked once the upper or lower limit is reached. The basic setting for potentiometer POT1 and POT2 is the minimum value (left stop). Function potentiometer 2 (POT2): Settings of proportional gain POT2 is used to set the proportional gain of the PI controller. When the potentiometer is turned completely to the left (approx. 5 turns), this results in a minimal controller gain. SEW EURODRIVE recommends using this setting as basic setting for startup of this MOVITRAC LT option. 14 Manual Accessories

The time can be set in 3 stages (0.1 s, 1 s and 10 s). When S1 and S2 are closed at the same time, the higher value has priority. Switch no. But there is also the possibility, to change the function assignment according to the following table. Wait ten minutes after disconnecting the frequency inverter from the power supply as well as disconnecting the line voltage and the DC 24 V voltage. Then, establish that the unit has been de-energized. Only then, start to work on the unit. For installation of the respective option card, proceed as follows. 4.1 Removing the terminal cover To access the terminals, remove the front cover of the frequency inverter. To open the terminal cover, use only a screwdriver for recessed-head screws or slotted screws. The terminals can be accessed when the two or four screws on the front of the product are loosened as shown below. The option card provides 3 additional digital inputs and an additional relay output. The digital inputs can be assigned to various functions in the frequency inverter. In addition, their status can be read by the higher-level controller via process data communication.
