In order to be able to communicate with the plant parts that are separated in terms of space or locality, telecontrol technology offers various communication options in the area of water technology. The most important telecontrol protocols are DNP3, SINAUT ST7 and IEC Note Detailed information on telecontrol technology and the used protocols DNP3 and SINAUT ST7 can be found in the following documents: Stormwater overflow tank Schematic layout The figure below shows a schematic illustration of the main components of a stormwater overflow tank. Figure 1-2: P&ID stormwater overflow tank Task of the stormwater overflow tank A stormwater overflow tank collects the first wave of debris of a heavy rain and therefore reduces the stress on the outfall if a part of the mixed water runs would run unfiltered into the outfall. Two drainage pumps are typically installed in the tank. A circular primary clarifier (optional) prevents the settling of solids.
