VMC Touch: Mounting Monitor Bracket Ports Connection And Cables Installation

1 The Touch Monitor with the application VMC touch expands a SeMSy III Workstation Software with a convenient multi-touch operation. Many functions of the individual modules of a SeMSy III Workstation Software can be operated easily and intuitively on the optimized user interface by dragging, wiping, tapping, scrolling, zooming. As a result, users receive a much more flexible way of operating. The Touch Monitor must first be mounted in the bracket and the required cable connections must be connected to the appropriate port before commissioning. NOTICE Hardware Damage! ¾ Leave the protective film on the screen of the Touch Monitor for mounting. ¾ Ensure a clean and flat work space. Step 1: Inserting Touch Monitor Into Bracket ¾ Place the folded bracket on the surface of the work space. Fig. 1 Fig. 2 ¾ Insert the Touch Monitor carefully into the bracket.

2 ¾ Slide the Touch Monitor under the clamping component at the front of the bracket and place it in this securely. Fig. 3 Clamping component The Touch Monitor is now inserted into the bracket. Fig. 4 NOTICE Hardware Damage! The Touch Monitor is not fixed in the bracket. Be careful when you move the bracket with inserted Touch Monitor. Step 2: Connecting The Cables To The Ports Fig. 5 ¾ Lift the bracket with the inserted Touch Monitor and lock the kick stand at the rear side of the bracket. Two cables are included in the scope of delivery: Micro USB (type B) to USB (type A) Micro HDMI (type D) to HDMI (type A)

3 Combined micro USB port for data and power supply ¾ Connect the USB cable with the micro USB connector to the USB1 port on the Touch Monitor. Fig. 6 Micro HDMI port for image data transmission Fig. 7 ¾ Mount the USB cable into the cable conductor. ¾ Connect the HDMI cable with the micro HDMI connector to the micro HDMI port on the Touch Monitor.

4 ¾ Mount the HDMI cable into the cable conductor. Fig. 8 Step 3: Rotate Touch Monitor With Bracket On The Screen Side ¾ Guide the two cables from the cable conductor over the hinge of the bracket. Fig. 9 Fig. 10 ¾ Lift the bracket upwards and guide the two cables around the hinge on the rear side. The two cables must be placed around the hinge in order to ensure proper operation of the Touch Monitor.

5 ¾ Place the Touch Monitor with the bracket on the hinge carefully. ¾ Always make sure that the Touch Monitor does not slip out of the bracket. Fig. 11 NOTICE Hardware Damage! The Touch Monitor is not fixed in the bracket. Be careful when you move the bracket with inserted Touch Monitor. Fig. 12 Fig. 13 ¾ Place the bracket with the inserted Touch Monitor on the side of the screen carefully. ¾ Always make sure that the Touch Monitor does not slip out of the bracket.

6 Step 4: Attach Cables Into The Cable Conductors On The Rear Side ¾ Loosen the screws on the three cable conductors using a Phillips screwdriver (size PH2). Fig. 14 ¾ Place the two cables along the course of the cable conductors. ¾ Always make sure that the two cables are routed around the hinge. Fig. 15 Fig. 16 ¾ Insert the three cable conductors back into their positions. ¾ Attach the cable conductors with the screws.

7 Fig. 17 Step 5: Set Up Touch Monitor In Operating Position ¾ Lift the bracket with the inserted Touch Monitor and turn it back carefully to the other side with the screen upwards. ¾ Lift the Touch Monitor and lock the kick stand at the rear side of the bracket.
