6 Product Overview Optical Transmission Equipment IntegraOptics provides optical transport equipment supporting HFC, FTTH and RFoG networks. Transmitters, EDFAs and Return path receivers are available in individual rack mounted form factors or in high density chassis for mass deployment of HFC/RFoG services. IntegraOptics optical transport products are high quality, low noise, DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 compatible devices that provide clear reliable and error free transport for Video, Data and Voice services. Optical transport chassis (OTC) & modules The IntegraOptics Optical Transport system includes a small 4RU 14 slots chassis with controller, AC or DC redundant power supplies, and pluggable service modules The chassis is Universal slot, and all modules are hot swappable and SNMP manageable. This high density unit can support as many as 28 HFC or RFoG network links in one 19 4RU design. Stand-alone CATV equipment IntegraOptics stand-alone CATV equipment provides high reliability and high performance in small 19 rack mountable packages. All power, management, and optical electronics are integrated into the package, for easy installation and operations. CATV nodes IntegraOptics offers both traditional HFC nodes, as well as RFoG ONUs. These units are designed to SCTE standards and can be used in harsh uncontrolled environments to carry analog/ digital, and data content. 7 OTC Chassis Optical Transport Chassis (OTC) is a 4RU, 19 rack mountable equipment shelf with 14 service slots, redundant hot swappable power supplies, and a system management controller and display. IntegraOptics OTC chassis currently supports a variety of return path receivers, forward path transmitters and optical amplifiers. It utilizes a universal slot design for the ultimate in flexibility, allowing any mix of service modules to be installed in any combination of slots. Power supplies and fans are hot swappable and are integrated into the chassis design leaving all 14 slots open for service modules. All service modules are plug-in / hot swappable with RF inputs and outputs fixed to the chassis rear panel to simplify module replacement and repair. The OTC management controller includes a front mounted LCD display / control keys for local operations, and supports SNMP remote management/ monitoring. When a module is installed, its type and inventory parameters are automatically registered with the controller simplifying service activation and allowing new module types to be installed onto existing systems without software upgrades or service interruptions. 9 OTC 1550 Transmitter CDT15 transmitter module is a flexible, high quality forward path transmitter to support QAM or analog channel insertion onto HFC or FTTH networks. This low cost directly modulated transmitter supports both access and long distance video transport applications, with links up to 40km. It has advanced distortion pre-compensation and SBS suppression to maintain high quality video over long distances. Automatic temperature control and automatic power control circuits along with a high quality cooled DFB laser insures that the IntegraOptics CDT15 transmitter will be stable and dependable over the lifetime of the network. The available high power versions allow optical splitting and, when paired with the IntegraOptics OTC EDFA, allow a single transmitter to support multiple optical links from the same OTC shelf. It may be configured and monitored locally via the OTC chassis controls, or remotely using SNMP, allowing it to be easily integrated to your network operations systems. 11 OTC 1310 Transmitter TCDT13 is a forward path transmitter for use in HFC networks. This low noise directly modulated transmitter supports a full 78 NTSC channel loading, has advanced distortion pre-compensation, Automatic Power Control, and a cooled DFB laser with isolation making it one of the most stable, trouble free and versatile transmitters in its price range. By using optional high output transmitters, (up to 13dBm), the optical outputs may be split allowing higher density applications in a single OTC chassis. As with all other module types, the IntegraOptics TCDT13 transmitter may be configured and monitored locally via the OTC chassis controls, or remotely using SNMP, allowing it to be easily integrated to your network operations systems. 22 1310 Direct-Mod CATV TX The 1310 Direct-modulated CATV transmitter is an update to its successful TDT13 product line. This updated CATV transmitter still supports RF analog broadcast content over optical trunk and HFC networks, and now provides a more robust, compact case and improved support for QAM content insertion. It is a 1RU rack mount transmitter that supports 78 NTSC analog channel loading, with a separate narrowcast input to simplify the inclusion of QAM channels, DOCSIS data and other local content. The TDT13U transmitter provides a wide AGC range, 47 to 1000MHz frequency response, SNMP remote management and can be ordered with optical output power from 8 to 13dBm making it ideal to support short, long or optically split network designs. It supports HFC services and content such as DOCSIS 1, 2, or 3 and high-definition video. Receive only and PON compatible versions are available that operate on single fiber networks. The RF output is internally amplified to +40dBmV allowing this node to be used in multiple dwelling units without additional amplifiers, saving time and money while minimizing ongoing operation costs. It operates on safe 5VDC power, (120VAC adapter included), and supports extended temperature operation (-10 C to +55 C).
