IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read all installation instructions before installing. It is important to save these instructions. Only install and connect LED module with power disconnected at the circuit breaker. Hot plugging, or connecting the module with power on, could damage the LEDs and is not covered by warranty. Connectors on modules and approved housings are keyed for specific voltage combinations; do not force or attempt to bypass connectors. Observe and follow all label information and instructions regarding dry, damp and wet location listings, proper Intense LED module, warnings of installation near combustible materials and/or insulation. Turn off power at circuit breaker before attempting to install or perform maintenance on the fixtures. Be sure to connect ground wire to prevent electric shock or other potential hazards. The product must be installed in a manner consistent with the intended use and in compliance with the national electrical codes and local codes by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved. Do not block the trim aperture as this may cause unsafe operating conditions. WARNING: RISK OF FIRE. Non-IC fixture requires that insulation must be kept at least 3 away from all sides of the fixture. Minimum of 90 C supply conductors. Consult a qualified electrician before installation. WARNING: Use only Intense Lighting trims listed for use with this fixture. Use of trims other than those listed by Intense Lighting is a violation of N.E.C 110-3(B) and voids all warranties. CEILING CUT OUT: 1. Cut out ceiling hole according to size: -- Round: 4 1/8 (105mm) diameter -- Square: 4 1/16 x 4 1/16 (103mm x 103mm) Note: Oversized holes will not allow fixture and/or trim to fit correctly. 1 REMOVE COVER PLATE: 1. Remove (2) M3 pan head screws and junction box cover plate. 2. Remove knockout on cover plate and attach conduit or Romex cable /8 [105mm] 4 1/16 [103mm] Cover Plate M3 x 5mm pan head ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS: 3 1. Connect ground from fixture to green (GROUND) supply wire, black wire from fixture to black (HOT) supply wire and white wire from fixture to white (NEUTRAL) supply wire. Use UL listed connectors or wire nuts to make the connections (provided by others). Connect dimming wires if applicable, see page Replace cover plate and (2) M3 pan head screws. INSTALL HOUSING: 1. Make sure swing out lugs are in a closed position. 2. Insert driver housing through ceiling opening. 3. Rest the driver housing in the ceiling plenum. 4. 2 2 of 5 REMODEL ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION: 5 Use a #1 screwdriver to tighten the (3) swing out lugs into open position (Do not overtighten). Note: Ceiling thickness must be between 5/16 [8mm] and 3/4 [19mm]. SQUARE REMODEL ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION: Adjust fixture to ensure that TRIM ALIGNMENT label is facing the wall that needs to be lit. 6 (3) M3 x 25mm Swing out lug Trim alignment label Wall MODULE INSTALLATION: 1. Check that power is off at breaker, hot plugging may damage LEDs. 2. Install module at 0º angle. 3. Connect female quick connect from housing to male quick connect on module. 4. Snap module into channel and confirm module sits parallel to ceiling line and is securely fastened into housing. 7 ADJUSTING HORIZONTAL ADJUSTMENT: 1. Loosen fastener with a #1 screwdriver to allow fixture to adjust 359º horizontally. 2. Place screwdriver in adjustment assist to rotate module to desired horizontal position. 3. Tighten fastener to lock horizontal adjustment. 8 Quick connect Channel M3 x 6mm fastener ADJUSTING VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT: 1. Loosen knurled head thumb screw to allow fixture to adjust vertically. 2. Place screwdriver in adjustment assist to rotate module to desired vertical position. 3. Tighten knurled head thumb screw to lock vertical adjustment. 9 TRIM INSTALLATION: 1. Position trim alignment label to trim location tab in the fixture. 2. 3 2 of 5 OPTIC REPLACEMENT: 1. Remove trim, then remove module from channel and disconnect quick connect. 2. Rotate release cap by turning counter clockwise. 3. Set cap and retainer ring aside and change optics. 4. Align optic pins to slots in module. Module Optic Optic slots Retainer ring Release cap REPLACEMENT: 1. Adjust vertical angle to 0º and remove module from channel and disconnect quick connect. 2. Unscrew all three swing out lugs with a #1 screwdriver. Make sure the swing lugs are in the closed position. 3. Remove the remodel assembly and the driver housing will follow. 4. Remove cover plate and slide out driver bracket. 5.
