2 What is Digital India? It is an Umbrella Programme covering many departments It weaves together a large number of ideas and thoughts into a single, comprehensive vision so that each of them is seen as part of a larger goal. Each element stands on its own, But also part of the larger picture It is coordinated by Dept. of Electronics & IT (DeitY), implemented by the entire government both at the Centre and State. The Programme: Pulls together many existing schemes These schemes will be restructured and re-focused They will be implemented in a synchronized manner Many elements are only process improvements with minimal cost.
3 National e-governance Plan Make all Government services accessible to the common man in his locality, through common service delivery outlets and ensure efficiency, transparency & reliability of such services at affordable costs to realise the basic needs of the common man. May 2006

The eleventh application i.e. GIS is currently being developed.

Online mutation of Land Records is available in 9 States. Integration of RoRs with cadastral maps has been launched in 10 States/UTs. 24 States have computerized the process of property registration and 10 States have integrated property registration with land records. Record of Rights (RORs) is available on the Web for 19 States/UTs.
