History of Horizon Steel Founded in 1983 Started to serve Cold Rolled and Hot Rolled users in the Chicago area mainly in furniture and shelving business.

2 History of Horizon Steel Founded in 1983 Started to serve Cold Rolled and Hot Rolled users in the Chicago area mainly in furniture and shelving business. Began with 4 employees, 7,500 Square Foot facility and one 48 slitting line producing less then 500 ton/year. Today: Multi-plant operations with state-of-the-art slitting equipment processing over 120,000 tons annually for the automotive industry and others. Global purchasing power with over 15 + producing mills to supply cutting edge Hot Rolled, Cold rolled and Coated products in all grades including Dual Phase, Multi-Phase and other Advance High Strength Steels. With over 250 customers as our base, nearly 90% have been with us for 10 years or more.

11 DUAL PHASE GRADES Horizon Steel is a service center leader in the DP/ AHSS Grades. Starting in 2004 we were committed to working with producing mills all over the world and our customers to supply the grades they need. We currently carry over 5000 tons of DP / AHSS and Martensitic grade steels in uncoated, H.D. Galvanized, Electro Galvanized and Galvanneal steel. Horizon Steel has the mill commitment, production capacity and logistics to supply 25,000 tons+ for producing mills to offer AHSS grades from. Currently offered strength levels : Mpa Tensile strength coated and uncoated.

12 New Developmentsand Future Plans: TS 16949:2009 certification effective March 2012 New 12 Caulfield Leveler and cut to length line with full round edging capabilities and 4 high cold reduction line in Wheeling IL. Installation by October Acquisition and installation of multi blanking and shape correction line in Shelby by Spring Currently researching acquisition opportunities or new site construction of a new processing facility to serve growing Automotive market in the Southern U.S. Possible states : KY, TN or AL.
