These experiences have exposed me to the research process, and have made me aware of social conditions in dire need of reform. Since accepting my first appointment in 2008 at the Faculty, I have maintained an active interdisciplinary researcher. Over the past eight years, I have been the recipient or co-recipient of more than RM1 million in research/scholarly funding from several entities, including the Higher Education, and Culture, and n Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB). Findings from the studies funded by these entities have been, and continue to be, disseminated in a variety of venues. In term of publications, I have published numerous paper presentations at professional meetings and conferences and printed materials such as research reports to the sponsoring agency, conference proceedings, chapters in the book and peer-reviewed journal articles. Finally, as an educator, I am constantly discovering ways to become inspired all over again. I m looking forwards to new challenges and opportunities for growth, both personally and professionally. In my opinion, there s nothing like being in a room of like-minded people who are willing to take time away from their comfort zone to learn something new and want to better themselves. 1
