9 Publication policy First announcement circulated among all project members, contain abstract, lead author and already identified potential co-authors Interested scientists have the chance to contribute Final draft must be announced latest 3 weeks before submission All scientists have the chance to check carefully content, used data, references and acknowledgements In case of dispute, the Publication Board mediate and may take decisions Slide 9

11 Publication (Project started Jan 2018) 147 Journals (85% with co-authorship, and 10% first author is Indonesian) Nature Communications, PNAS, Global Change Biology, Land Economics, PLoS ONE, Biological Conservation, Agricultural Economics, Land Use Policy, Tree Physiology etc. 41 publications in national journals by Indonesian counterparts 18 Discussion Paper Series, 1 cartoon book, 8 policy briefs 16 min EFForTS video documentary June 2018 will produce 20 minutes education film on sustainability of Oil Palm Production Slide 11

14 ABS Measure Program (3 schemes) We are the first project comply to the Nagoya protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing in Indonesia A. Research Scheme by Counterparts and partners B. EFForTS Scholarship Provide : 50% of monthly living allowance, visa, local flight Another 50% and international flight tickets from respective Principle investigator. C. Capacity Building (For example Soil fauna identification, plant identification by Royal Botanical Garden/UK) Slide 14
