6 Garden City Terminal Single Largest Terminal and 4 th Busiest in the USA Savannah River Terminal area: 1,200 acres (485.6 ha) Berthing: 9 berths totaling a contiguous 9,693 ft (2,955 m) Covered storage: 1,192,166 sq ft (110,756 sq m) 2 on-terminal rail 30 container cranes w/ 4 more coming next year 146 rubber tired gantry cranes

7 Why must the GPA have resilient facilities and operations to withstand man-made and natural disasters? Last year, 663,257 automobiles and heavy machinery moved through our terminals In the past 2 years, over 3.6 million TEUs through our cargo terminals each year Garden City Terminal experiences almost 11,000 truck gate moves per day Garden City Terminal has been the fastest growing port in the USA for the past 10 years

9 What must we do to protect these valuable assets to ensure that they are resilient to withstand man-made and natural disasters? Physical Infrastructure Security that consists of fencing, monitoring systems and an IT network that provides connectivity with federal, state and local authorities

Physical Infrastructure Building systems and gates built in accordance with the current building codes requiring structural integrity to withstand winds in excess of 100 mph
