2 1. Navigation Tabs The various tabs on the left pane of the console direct users to different sections of the system. Prospects: View of individual prospects in your Team-Fit database. Prospective athletes for your team should be in this view. Players: View of individual athletes in your Team-Fit database that are presently on your team. Athletes in this tab are used to tabulate overall and positional team averages in your team s Team-Fit database. Alumni: View of individual athletes in your Team-Fit database that are no longer on your team but are helpful for comparison purposes. Staff: View of individual staff/coaches in your Team-Fit database (past and/or present). Manage: Administrative tasks for managing your team s Team-Fit account & settings. My Account: Administrative tasks for managing your personal Team-Fit account & settings. 2

3 2. Changing Column View To change the columns displayed in your team database view, click the Change Columns button. Once there, add a checkmark to each column to be displayed in the database view. The system will maintain the columns viewable from session to session. 3

4 3. Actions The Actions column is where users can take actions upon individuals in the database such as view Reports or Move individuals from one tab to another.. If you cannot see the Actions column in your database view, click the Change Columns button and ensure that the checkmark is checked positive for the Actions column. 4. Viewing Reports To view reports on an individual in your database, click the blue Reports button to the right of the desired individual. A drop down list of available reports will appear. Use your mouse cursor to select an available report to view. The selected report will appear in a separate tab in your browser. 4

5 5. Navigating & Printing Reports on Various Devices TAP reports can be viewed on any Internet-connected device through an Internet browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari. For a better experience, we recommend viewing the reports on a computer or larger tablet, rather than on a smaller screened smartphone. There are, however, some subtle differences in viewing and navigating reports on a computer browser, Android devices and ios devices (ipad/iphone). Moving Individuals To move an individual from one database segment to another (e.g., from the Prospects segment to the Players segment), or to delete and individual from your system, click the blue Move button to the right of the desired individual. A drop down list of available destinations will appear. Use your mouse cursor to select the desired database destination and click. The option to delete an individual from your database is available here as well. 6

7 7. Tags To tag an individual in your database, click the blue + button in the Tag column of the right of the desired individual. Be sure that you are displaying the Tag column in your console. A drop down list of available tag labels will appear. Use your mouse cursor to select the desired tag label and click. An individual can be tagged with more than one tag label. Once tagged, the label(s) will appear in the individuals tag column. To remove a tagged label, simply click the text of the label in the tag column and then click on the Remove Tag text. 7

8 8. Searching Searching All Columns To search all columns, begin entering text into the search box in the upper right of the database view. As letters are typed, the system begins to filter search results across all columns. For example, in the image above, the letters M-I-C-H have been entered into the all columns search box. The results will display individuals with mich within the text of any column. In the image above, an individual with Michigan under the school column is returned as are individuals with the first name Michael since both contain the string mich. IMPORTANT - be sure to clear out the text in the search box when you are finished searching all columns. Otherwise, the system will maintain the text in the search box for use in the same AND subsequent sessions. For example, if after performing the search as illustrated in the image above, the user quickly logged off. Later when the user logged back into the system, the database view will still be filtered by the all column search mich until the text is cleared from the search box. 8

9 Searching a Single Column To search a single column, enter text into the search box at the bottom of the column to search. As letters are typed, the system begins to filter search results across the single column. For example, in the image above, the letters S-M-I have been entered into the last name column search box. The results will display individuals with the text string smi within their last name. In the image above, individuals with the last name Smith appear as does an individual with the last name Highsmith because both names contain the test string smi. IMPORTANT - be sure to clear out text in the search box when you are finished searching a column. Otherwise, the system will maintain the text in the search box for use in the same AND subsequent sessions. For example, if after performing the search as illustrated in the image above, the user quickly logged off. Later when the user logged back into the system, the database view will still be filtered by last name search smi until the text is cleared from the last name column search box. 9

10 9. Sorting Columns To sort a column, click on the up or down arrow to the right of the column header. The image above displays the last name column sorted in alphabetical order through a click on the top arrow. Any column with data can be sorted in alphabetical or numerical order. 10

11 10. Exporting Data To export the data from a database view simply click the CSV Export button at the bottom left of the database view. This action will export all data in whichever tab you are in when you click the CSV Export button. For example, if you are in the Prospects tab and click the CSV Export button, you will export all individuals and data that resides in the Prospects tab. Once the data is exported into a CSV file, it is easy to sort or filter in a program like Microsoft Excel. 11
