4 CXO-Cockpit main tools o CXO-Cockpit Web Application: The web-based dashboard for reporting and analysis. Runs with any web-browser. o CXO-Designer: The web-based program for administrators to maintain Lists, Reports, Formats, Variables, Security, etc. o CXO-Viewer: Web-based tool for viewing Story Boards. Does not require login. o CXO-Cockpit Mobile Apps: CXO-Cockpit (IOS and Android) and CXO-Viewer app (IOS) o CXO-Configurator: Server application for server related settings

9 CXO-Cockpit objects 1/2 o Dimension: CXO-Cockpit dimension, like Entity, Account, etc. derived from the dimensions of HFM or Essbase. o List: A list of items that can be used to define the rows, columns and / or selectors on a report. o Item: Defines an individual row or column. o Member: A member is a specific selection from a Dimension (a specific account, an entity, ), either from the Source-system (HFM/ Essbase) or defined as a Cube Calculation. o Dimension Variable: Variables in CXO-Cockpit are expressed and contain a dimension member. o Format: Presentation format of a dimension member, which specifies such item parameters as font, color, scaling, etc. o Cube Calculations: calculated dimension members

10 CXO-Cockpit objects 2/2 o Template: Predefined lay-out for a Report. The functionality of a template is fixed. o Report: A CXO-Cockpit report derived from a certain Template and with a certain content. o Free-format report: A Custom made report. Can be a free-format combination of tables, charts, labels and pie-charts. o Narrative Template: Piece of HTML script that can be used to structure the narratives of a report (forces the user to provide a specific type of information). o User Group: Group of users with certain security settings o User: CXO-Cockpit user: Proprietary user login and password are specific for CXO-Cockpit Model AD user domain user, whose login and password are the same as in the domain

11 Excercises Three important notes: o Create your own Menu item as follows: Intials_Training, e.g. ML_Training Place your reports in your own Menu item o When creating reports during this training, please place your initials at the beginning of a report name. This way we can easily recognize the reports created during this training. E.g.: ML_Profit and Loss o When creating lists during this training, please place your initials at the beginning of a report list. E.g.: ML_ROW - Profit and Loss

15 Drill Functionality o Descendants Inclusive - The list will contain all child members of the specified parent. Each list item that is based on parent member will get the same type of drill list attached. At the end of the list the parent member itself will be added formatted as sum. o Descendants Exclusive - The list will contain all child members of the specified parent. Each list item that is based on parent member will get the same type of drill list attached. o Children Inclusive - The list will contain all child members of the specified parent. At the end of the list the parent member itself will be added formatted as sum. o Children Exclusive - The list will contain all child members of the specified parent. o Base Inclusive - The list will contain all base/leaf members of the specified parent. At the end of the list the parent member itself will be added formatted as sum. o Base Exclusive - The list will contain all base/leaf members of the specified parent. o Manual drill list The list will contain members manually added by the list creator and is used as a drill list. E.g.: KPI with drill (list) containing KPI components
