3 Upgrading Information: Repository If you are upgrading from any version of Insight, please note that Insight may require a new license key. You will need to obtain a new License Key from Customer Services. Once this is received, please perform a replace in order to retain your License Assignments. For more information on upgrading, please see the section below on Upgrade Information or contact Customer Services. Prior to upgrading, please make sure your Insight Object Repository is backed up (using your current Administration Application). This backup is essential for all types of installs, whether you are installing this version in parallel with an existing previous version or, alternatively, as a new stand alone installation. Any upgrade to requires a new repository to be created. All previous repositories from V9.0.x to Summer 2011 used Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. Insight now requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. Therefore if upgrading from V9.0.x or higher you will need to backup your current production repository and then restore into a new repository created in This must be done in order to login to the version. 5 Upgrading Information: Database Script Update If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to v9.0.x, you will need to upgrade to the latest v upgrade build prior to upgrading to this current release. If you are upgrading your Insight version, you will need to follow a process by which a script is run over your Oracle Database. It is highly recommended to use a different Schema for the new Insight release if planning to run your existing Insight release in parallel. After running the database script you will need to confirm all Profile Connections in Insight Administrator for SP4 are using the correct username and password. (The database script allows a unique username to be used. Please check with your DBA to get the correct username credentials to use in the Data Connections). You will then have to run through the Profile so it can update with any new tables and views that SP4 uses. Please note: This should be done in conjunction with an InsightSoftware.com customer service representative who will provide you with the relevant script for Insight release SP4 to be run on your Oracle Database. Recommendations for All Clients It is highly recommended that clients switch to using the Built In Data Provider for their Data Connections. Issues have been reported with the Oracle Client Data Provider and ODBC Data Provider. Dynamic Flex Field Utilization in Oracle E-Business Suite If Dynamic Flex Fields are utilized in Oracle EBS, data may not display as expected within Insight Reporting. Please inform Customer Service if using Dynamic Flex Fields and inform them which tables and fields are utilized. Page 5 of 8

6 In addition to the list below, SP4 also includes all fixes up to and including SP3. General Updates SOB/Ledger Field now shows the same value when you drill down into the target report from the source report. Oracle version now picks up correct Primary ledger as compared to the previous Oracle version Module Updates AP: Distribution Line Type Filter Visual Assist now returns values in the AP Invoice Distributions Template. AP: AP Checks R12 template modified to return data for all or specific Ledgers as well as data having NULL Ledgers. AR: The Item Number column on the AR Invoice Details Template is now populated with values after addition of joins to the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B and MTL_PARAMETERS tables. AR: Aged Debt by GL Segment Template now returns Unapplied Receipts and also populates the segment values. AR: Aged Debt As of Template now shows correct amounts for Receipt at Risk. FA: Asset Listing Template now shows correct Cost, Adjusted Cost and NBV values. FA: Non-Corporate books now appear on both Asset Listing and Asset NBV Schedule Templates. FA: PO Number is now populated with values on the FA Invoices Template. FA: Invoices 11i Template runs successfully when the PO Number column is added. FA: YTD and PTD Depreciation now display correct values for a prior year on the Asset NBV Schedule Template. FA: The Asset NBV Schedule Template now returns all missing assets and also shows correct totals for a specified As of Date. FA: Asset Master Listing Template now displays reference numbers for TAX book rows correctly. GL: All GL Transactions AP Templates show improved performance when run with various filters populated in R12. GL: The Alias Column now returns data on the GL Balances Template. PA: The Selector CURRENTITD for PA Period and the LEDGER/SOB filters are now set to a default value instead of * when using multi-org security on all Oracle R12 versions. PA: Budget amounts are now displaying correctly in the Project Templates for Expenditure Analysis and Details by GL Code. Page 6 of 8

7 POP: PO Receipts R12 Template opens successfully now without configuring the IS_ORG_ORGANIZATIONS table separately within the profile wizard. POP: Security on PO Receipts R12 Template was enhanced by adding a new view IS_ORG_ORGANIZATIONS and then joining it to RCV_TRANSACTIONS on Organization ID. Page 7 of 8
