4 Upgrading Information: Repository If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to v9.0.0, you will need to upgrade to the latest v upgrade build prior to upgrading to this current release. If you are upgrading from any version of Insight, please note that Insight SP1 requires a new license key. You will need to obtain a new License Key from Customer Services. Once this is received, please perform a replace in order to retain your License Assignments. For more information on upgrading, please refer to the v9 upgrade document or contact your Customer Support office. Prior to upgrading, please make sure your Insight Object Repository is backed up (using your current Administration Application). This backup is essential for all types of installs, whether you are installing this version in parallel with an existing previous version or, alternatively, as a new stand alone installation. Any upgrade to SP1 requires a new repository to be created. All previous repositories from V9.0.x and above used Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. Insight SP1 now requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. Therefore if upgrading from V9.0.x or higher you will need to backup your current production repository and then restore into a new repository created in SP1. This must be done in order to be able to login to the SP1 version. Download Microsoft.NET 4.0 (Full Client): Page 4 of 17

5 Upgrading Information: Budgeting For clients with budgeting repositories, it is required to take a backup of the budgeting library/database/schema prior to upgrading. If you are upgrading from an Insight version prior to , Insight requires a new budgeting database to be created. All previous budgeting databases from V9.0.x and above used Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0. Insight and SP1 now require Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. For more information on upgrading your budgeting database, please contact your Customer Support office. 8 We released our new Third Party Integrations with which have been available as of February However, as a recap for many of our customers, we are providing the information here once again. 9 We released these new Modules and Templates with which have been available as of February However, as a recap for many of our customers, we are providing the information here once again. New Modules Advanced Pricing (APR) A new module, Advanced Pricing, has been added to Insight Reporting. Advanced Pricing for Sales Order Management in JD Edwards supports the business critical aspect of pricing the products sold by a business. Because of the flexibility and power of Advanced Pricing in JD Edwards, the configuration in this module is often highly complex and can also be performance intensive. Insight s Advanced Pricing Module provides its users with the ability to rapidly view and understand the configurations that exist within JD Edwards. Using the visibility into pricing configurations provided by templates such as Pricing Schedules, Price Adjustment Details and Complex Group Analysis templates, users will be able to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of their pricing rules. In addition, because users can more rapidly understand their pricing configurations, performance can be improved more easily. Finally, the Insight module provides a template focused on Price History that will allow for analysis of the sales transactions impacted by advanced pricing configurations. Grower Management (GM) The Grower Management Module has been added to Insight Reporting. This module is used in JD Edwards to manage businesses that grow and/or purchase agricultural products. The module provides its users with information about the Farms, Blocks and Harvests where these products are grown, as well as the activities required to produce harvests. Templates have been created in Insight to provide visibility into entities such as Contracts, End Use Reservations (EUR), Farms and Blocks. New Template Master Data (MD) Payroll AAIs: Template provides access to Payroll AAI table. 10 Administration Enhancements We have added two new Advanced Capabilities in SP1 as a result of resolving specific issues within Budgeting and Designer Express. Now if you have activated the Capability 'Show Apply Model Warning', the user is prompted with this warning when they exit Enter Budget mode. A new capability has been added to allow the 'Show Browse Table' icon to be turned OFF for users that have a DXD license so sensitive data will not be displayed. 11 Administration Updates An additional test is being executed automatically at the Run Test step for the F0005 Language test to ensure at least one language has been entered in the UDC Table 01/LP. Now user is able to see and use the drop down list for budgeting connections in the Profile Wizard while running in French. Admin - Line of Business Setting is remembered for profiles. In the Admin Tool Profile Wizard the performance of the Table Locations loading has been greatly enhanced. World Security with temporary tables enabled in the Profile Wizard now returns the correct records in an inquiry. In the Admin Tool, the 'last login date' displays correctly now when exported to excel from license assignment dialog. Performance increased when deleting users in the Administration Tool Now when user turns off the budgeting feature and unchecks the "Enable Data Entry" box, it stays unchecked the next time you run through the Profile Wizard. Adding a new user in the Administration Tool using synchronization no longer removes addresses on existing users. Upgrade repository tool (JDE) from v (Step 2) now functions properly. Budgeting Updates Wait cursor is now displayed when processing after clicking 'Enter Budgets'. Performance has been improved when submitting a large subset of Budgeting data, when using different Periods & Years. If Budgeting has been assigned to the user you will see the tooltip wording has been clarified when you click on the icons 'Add Comment Column' or 'Delete Comment Column' under the Design Tab. Able to enter and submit budgets without exception. Now it's possible to clear and restore multiple budgeting columns at once. Apply model within budgeting using MS Excel 2007/2010 no longer exceptions. No longer opening multiple sessions when opening budgeting forms. A single session per user is created when connecting to the budgeting database when opening reports within Insight. Page 11 of 17

12 Designer Express The Percent Split button has been disabled on DX reports, since the Percent Split feature is not available for DX; therefore no more exception should occur. No longer receive an error when adding an aging category to a DX report with no amount columns. DX - Consolidate Calculations checked ON now displays the correct Grand Total for the calculated column. Columns now display correctly when joining to the same table twice and changing joins or saving and reopening the report. General Updates Date format on Inquiry and on report titles now adapts correctly with Windows Regional settings. When selecting to see Choose Details in Manage Folders within Insight or in the Administration Tool, the Template Name the report was created from is properly displaying for all new reports even DX reports created from a DX Template. New relative selectors based on a relative selector are showing correct Selector values. Opening the same Report Pack more than once now displays a message to the user asking them if they would like to append or replace the Report Pack. Running reports with 'subtotal' calculated columns in certain scenarios used to give an error. Also, Insight used to leave temporary tables behind on Oracle when using calculated columns for subtotals or aggregations (e.g. average, count). This no longer occurs. Console Console tab in Insight is always visible if CON license is present in the key, doesn't matter if CON license is in a bundled or exists separately. Also doesn't matter if it is assigned to login user or not, the Console Tab will still display. Filters Using the Greater Than symbol in a filter containing an amount (e.g. Salary Rate - F SAL) now returns the correct records. Also other symbols =,<=,>=,<> in Filter value works. User Defined Filter can be applied to all open inquiries in a report pack. User Defined Filters and Selectors can be used in combination without previous exception. Page 12 of 17

13 Upgraded reports that contain either BLK or a date in the QBE Date column will now open successfully. Adding and using Clear filters option from Quick Access Toolbar is now working properly. Formatting Upgraded reports using Conditional Formatting will no longer error when attempting to open them. Rows spacing doesn't increase any more if report contains more than 10,000 records. Conditional formatting on Object Account defined using an 'Item' that exists in the middle of a range as defined on a hierarchy row now properly applies to that row. Conditional Formatting is functioning as user defines. Previous issue of multiple rows incorrectly applying conditional formatting is resolved. Hierarchies Hierarchy labels for subledger are now displaying properly. Hierarchies with subledger labels created in a prior release can be repaired by using the hierarchy dialog to edit those nodes (no change required) and then saving the hierarchy. Drilling on Label Node in hierarchy now display the following Insight Message, "This node has been created purely for information display and clarity purposes. As a result there is no valid data to link." Printing/Export Updates Break count is now displaying correctly under Print Options. You can now save Excel outputs from Insight as.xlsx Clients will now see an Insight message pop up if printing to PDF or Excel and the Page Break selection defined is no longer valid due to filter values being changed. Cover sheet displays information correctly with 'NOT' appended before the excluded filter value(s). When borders have been defined they are now properly displaying when printing to PDF. When defining a Dropdown filter using the Filter Layout, the values now display correctly on the printed report cover page. The location prints on the PDF Cover page no matter how long it is or how deeply nested the location path is. When using border formatting on your columns, the column size does not change when printing to PDF; it stays the same as it appears within Insight. "Reverse Signs" doesn't convert blank values to Zero while exporting to Excel. In Excel blank value fields display as blank as expected. Print option 'Break by filter selections' is retained for an upgraded inquiry. Page 13 of 17

14 Able to export all text from Insight to Excel without error no matter what type of character is contained in a label column. All lines of the Title are properly printing on the PDF when selected to display. Printing the chart with axis labels to pdf works properly when the X Axis labels are set to display at 90 degrees. Any angle below that may not print as expected depending on the label size. Exporting a report to Excel that contains a hierarchy with expand/collapse enabled will export what is displayed in Insight properly to Excel now. Column width when performing a print to PDF now displays properly as defined within Insight. Exported data to Excel can now be copied back into the appropriate Insight filter without error. Hierarchy and Conditional formatting is exporting and displaying correctly on the PDF output. Excel file Extensions are correctly applied when Prompt for File locations is set to true. Time Series Editing a Time Series that is subscribed in RIO will properly maintain the Time Series Name for all reports that are subscribed to it. Module Updates Note: Please note that many of the Advanced Pricing Templates have been renamed for use with specific releases of JD Edwards due to several fields in Advanced Pricing not being available in World or E1 Xe. ACA: Balances Template - NBCUMULATIVE and NBITDC periods are showing correct cumulative balances. ACA: Upgraded ACA Transaction reports will now open and run successfully. APR: Renamed the Preference Hierarchy template to Preference Hierarchy (E1 8.9)+ and Preference Hierarchy (W, E1 XE). APR: Updated Advanced Pricing Links for Manually Priced Items (E1 8.9+) and Customer Group Analysis (E1 8.9+). APR: All Mandatory tables needed for Advanced Pricing are now available for World and can be configured in the Profile Wizard. APR: In Advanced Pricing the "Zero Balances" check box option in the Customer Price List template is now turned on by default. APR: In the Advanced Pricing Templates removed the F4070 Effective Date columns that are invalid in World and E1 XE; therefore, no error is received now when opening the templates. APR: Removed F4106 Approval Status column from More Columns in the Advanced Pricing Templates. APR: Removed F4211 Header Business Unit column from More Columns in the Advanced Pricing Templates. 15 APR: Removed F4211 Currency column from More Columns in the Advanced Pricing Templates. AR: For World AR Invoices and As Of Integrated Invoices and Receipts templates, you are now able to include the Collection Manager (A5CLMG) from F0301 and run the report without error. AR & AP: Fix done to AR Integrated Invoice and Receipts templates as well as AP Integrated Payments and Receipts templates so that you no longer receive an error when you run any report created from those templates. AR: The Alternate Payee (RPAN8J) and Commission Code (RPCMC1) in F03B11 are now available using Configurator in the AR Templates where F03B11 is available for JDE EnterpriseOne. GL: Subsidiary is correctly formatted now and no longer displays in decimals when displaying only the code. GL: BU Post Editing Code (MCPECC/F0006) filter operator Not Equal To (!=) is now maintained after executing the link. HR: Employee Detail Template: the default calculation "Days Since Termination" conditional override has been changed to Days between Employment & Termination NOT EQUAL to zero. INV: Currency Shifting in the Inventory Item Ledger Transactions Templates now displays correctly for all currency amounts. JC: Expand/Collapse on hierarchy is now functioning correctly on Job Cost reports in Console Mode JC: Added an Inquiry Option to return the max effective date to the Job Cost Profit Recognition template. MRP: Forecast Detail template: No longer receive an exception error reporting column MFCTRY not in table F3460. PAY: DBA By Period Template (F06146) has access to the following Hours Periods BH1 through BH12 in the Period filter. PAY: Corrected the currency shifting for Gross Pay Amount Due in the Payroll DBA by Period template. SO: The fields 'Make For' (SHMKFR) from F4201 and 'Make For' (SDMKFR) from F4211 are now accessible with Configurator in the Sales Detail Template for World A8.1 and higher. SO: Sales Detail template: The Field Carrier (SDCARS) in F4211 is now available to select using More Columns in all E1 JDE versions. TS: Exception error (Positive Number Required) no longer occurring when opening the TS Current GL Transaction template Scheduler Updates When scheduling a task, you are now able to 'Distribute To' a user associated to any Group. Security Updates Inclusive Security for Company is now applied correctly. JDE Row Security that uses ' ' in either the From Value or To Value is applied correctly. Page 15 of 17

16 Technical Updates Insight targets specifically.net Service Pack 4 and higher when installing on Windows. Previously some customers experienced an error when attempting to log into Insight via CITRX. Login to Insight is now successful when BLANKS exist in a numeric field such as security tables. No longer receive an error opening reports when opening using a different language defined in the Regional Settings from the original language that was used when defining the report. Clients will now able to see all Modules when Base Language is Italian and License Key is Bundled. Performance enhancements made when a user connects to Insight and tries to either create a new inquiry or open up an existing one. There is no longer an additional data connection being created by Integrity Checker during Insight login. When you log into Insight, if the default Role for the User is deleted in JDE, the Role dropdown will populate with the first Role in the dropdown list. Page 16 of 17
