3 General Information Upgrading Information: Repository If you are upgrading from an InsightUnlimited version prior to v9.0.0, you will need to upgrade to the latest v upgrade build prior to upgrading to this current release. If you are upgrading from any version of InsightUnlimited, please note that version requires a new license key. You will need to obtain a new License Key from Customer Support. Once this is received, please perform a replace in order to retain your License Assignments. For more information on upgrading, please contact Customer Support. Prior to upgrading, please make sure your Insight Object Repository is backed up (using your current InsightUnlimited Administrator Application). This backup is essential for all types of installs, whether you are installing this version in parallel with an existing previous version or, alternatively, as a new stand-alone installation. Any upgrade to requires a new repository to be created. InsightUnlimited requires Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0. Therefore if upgrading from V9.0.x or higher you will need to back up your current production repository and then restore into a new repository created in This must be done in order to log into the version. Download Microsoft.NET 4.0 (Full Client): Upgrading Information: Budgeting For clients with budgeting repositories, it is required to take a backup of the budgeting library/database/schema prior to upgrading. All upgrades, if running in parallel with your existing InsightUnlimited version, require a new budgeting database to be created. Budgeting Forms, Reconciler & Designer Express reports and Standard Templates created using Designer Express are currently only supported on SQL Server, Oracle or AS/400 DB2 Databases. 2. 5 Feature Enhancements New User Interface Login Screen: InsightUnlimited products have a redesigned login screen look that is more modern and allows for all input to be done within one screen! Ribbon: InsightUnlimited products have been updated to have a more modern look for release We have updated the ribbon panel to have a Metro Style look in line with Microsoft Office 2013 products. All the positions of the icons on the ribbon have remained the same for this release; however, more updates are planned for the next release to reorganize the ribbon icons and tabs. Backstage: The Backstage view within InsightUnlimited includes the set of commands you use to do things to a document. Within this view, you manage your documents and see related data about them, you can create a new inquiry, open and close inquiries, export to PDF and Microsoft Excel, view permissions, and more. Performance Enhancements We have made performance enhancements to the following feature functionality within InsightUnlimited: Login Open Run Additionally, in InsightUnlimited Administrator, a performance enhancement has been made in the Import Metadata End Task within the Profile Wizard. 6 Budgeting Enhancements Budget History Template: A new template is available now under the General Ledger module called Budget History. This template will display an audit trail of changes made to any budget form. This feature has been a long waited enhancement for many of our customers and you will be delighted to see not only that we have this available, but actually how easy it is to use. Performance increases with these Budgeting features: Budget Submission Apply Model Budget Models: For companies that use models in their budgeting cycles we have found a great way to enhance performance when applying your Budget Models. Simply save the Excel Model as an Excel Binary Workbook (.xlsb). This format will reduce the size of large Excel models by nearly half allowing for enhanced performance when applying the model within InsightUnlimited once the model has been uploaded into the repository. Budget Capability: There is a new Budgeting Capability that allows you to define the default setting for clearing budget data (Yes/No) after upload into JD Edwards in the Administration Tool Advanced Capabilities. You can find it here: In Administration, right click on your particular user or group Capabilities Administration Advanced Expand Budgeting and Forecasting Keep Submissions Perform your edits Strategic Planning Database Table: For Strategic Planning, a new database table is generated automatically for customers that are licensed to Planning (DXE License). This database table comes pre-built with numerous columns to suit most all Planning needs and is auto-generated for Budget Databases residing on SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle. Designer Express Effective Date Join on Julian and UTime Dates The ability to join on Effective Dates in Designer Express (DX) was introduced in This feature only allowed for the joining of Julian Dates or the joining of UTime dates but did not support a combination of Julian and UTime. In you now have the ability to combine the two date styles when defining a join between tables using Designer Express Developer. Page 6 of 12

7 Copy Hierarchy offers the ability to copy an existing hierarchy so you no longer have to start from scratch! This feature is very intuitive and easy to perform. The new copied hierarchy created can also: Have a unique name Be used in RIO (Reusable Inquiry Objects) Page 7 of 12

8 Resolved Issues In addition to the list below, also includes all fixes up to and including SP2. Administrator & Technical Updates InsightUnlimited is loaded successfully when the Windows Print Spooler is hanging. Correctly looking for Control tables in the Control Database instead of the Business Data Database for customers on Oracle databases. If user doesn't have the "manage license key" capability, they cannot manage the license key and the button "Manage" is greyed out in all dialogs including the Synchronize User dialog. New Advanced Capabilities added to enable/disable output from automatically opening in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word or PDF after export. We have added support for the Optim ODBC driver for customer who are licensed for Optim with InsightUnlimited. InsightUnlimited Administrator no longer receives an error when a user right-clicks on Everyone for customers using Windows RDS 64-bit Servers. Budgeting Updates If more than one budget cycle uses the same form, but only one cycle is open, the Select Budget Cycle dialog is no longer displayed when choosing Cycle Status from the ribbon. A new message pop up is displayed when a Line Item Detail column and/or Subledger column is added or removed on a budgeting form. This message informs the user that the action will result in a change in their original budget submissions. Line Item Detail and Comment Columns are properly saved in budgeting mode; no loss of comment is experienced. The Budget Audit Trail now displays who approved, finalized, rejected and uploaded a contributor's budget submission. Budget Audit Trail: Correctly storing values for rows which have changed and no longer storing values for rows that haven't changed. Complex models now function as expected and the amounts are properly calculated regardless of Spread Type. There is now a new Capability available to change the default setting for clearing budget data after upload in InsightUnlimited Administrator. Page 8 of 12

9 JDE World A92 customers who are licensed to Budgeting can optionally configure the F0902Z1 table in the Profile now and will no longer error if the F0902Z1 table does not exist. For customers on Oracle Databases, when inserting new rows, there is no longer an extra line displaying in the report when Budget Submission has completed. Subledger and ACA Cost Object Codes are now accepted on a DX Budgeting form. Edit Budget Form location and change is correctly updated within the Budget Form dialog. There is now the ability to change the default setting for clearing budget data after upload in the Administration Tool Capabilities. Designer Express Time Series on a DX report no longer returns an error when using the Period Number column. General Updates Due to the implementation of the new User Interface, the outdated Welcome Screen has been removed. When a customer name includes an & sign in their name, both Inquiry Title and the Excel Output shows same output. No additional "&" sign is shown. The Console tab in the ribbon for Reporting users has been enabled when either Console or Budgeting Lite is assigned to the user in the license key. User that has multiple reports open can switch between report tabs without receiving an error. Inquiry Title including a specific date format is correctly used regardless of culture defined for workstation. A "%" in the Saved Report Name no longer produces an error when exporting output to PDF or Excel. Numeric formats on calculated fields when exporting to excel are now displaying the same as in InsightUnlimited. The decimal separator is displayed correctly for Unit columns after exporting the output to Excel or PDF. When exporting a hierarchy using the 'Export Excel' button in the hierarchy dialog screen, you now have the option to export as a.tsv (tab-separated values) file. Blank subledgers are now displayed when a wildcard is used to define the subledger node in the hierarchy. Page 9 of 12

10 When exporting to Excel (breaking by workbook), every Cost Center is displayed in a separate workbook and Cost Centers with zero values no longer display in the same workbook as the last Cost Center. The column line number (F4211.LNID) now displays with the same formatting in Excel as is displayed in InsightUnlimited. The hierarchy filter works correctly in all scenarios including when your curser is focused on the filter. Comments associated with Line Item Detail stay with the correct Line Item Detail entry when new rows are inserted. User has the ability to extract comments from an inquiry to a table on finalization so that a customer's automated process can upload them to another system. It is possible to export the first available Period, Ledger and Year when extracting comments (to be used in conjunction with customer specific automated process) in the process of finalizing the budget cycle. The Calculation dialog is opening faster now than in previous releases. When a conditional format is put into RIO, it is now correctly subscribed to the current open inquiry when it is selected. The Community Portal tab and button in the Ribbon has been renamed to Community. Module Updates ACA: Added the Supplier Name as a column description for a PO Order Number and now users can successfully open an ACA template when using a Cost Object Edit Rule = 'O - Purchase Orders' in JDE. ACA: Corrected the Customer Master (F03012) Join so an error exception is not received when a column is added to ACA Balances. AR: In the As Of AR templates a new Inquiry Option called Age AR Invoice Deduction (R5) is available and when it is set to Yes, it will properly age AR Deductions that have a creation GL date after the void GL date. CSB: Added a new F0101 Left Outer join on the AN8 column to the Integrated Service Billing template. FA: Added new joins to access the account codes of the asset distributions in the FA Transactions template. GL: Corrected the GL Transaction Week Date Filter to correctly query dates that cross multiple years. GL: User can now successfully utilize conditional calculations and hierarchies both on the Balance & Transactions Templates. Page 10 of 12

11 HR: On Employee Detail, corrected the left outer join to F0619/F so it no longer errors when selected. HR: Added Employee Pay Instructions Amount or Rate column (F06106.YMRTAM) to HR EE Benefits, EE Detail and EE History templates. INV: Added the Vendor Lot Number column (F4111.ILRLOT) to the Item Ledger Transaction template. MFG: Added the column 'Item Revision Level' (F4311.PDMERL) to the MFG: WO Parts Template and POP: Receipt Routing Ledger Template. MD: Added the F Bank Transit Number table to the Master Data module so templates can be opened without needing a license for AR or AP. POP: Added the column 'Item Revision Level' (F4311.PDMERL) to the MFG: WO Parts Template and POP: Receipt Routing Ledger Template. QSF: QSoftware solutions for JDE E1 and World ERP versions are now available. QSF: No longer receive a warning that Primary Keys are missing for QSoftware Database Views. SOP: Added Customer Master Zone Number column (AIZON) from Table F03012 to the Sales Detail template. SOP: Added back the Grid Hierarchy Filter to SOP Sales Detail Template as well as INV and POP Templates. Page 11 of 12
