3 Overview The Fair Lending Wiz HMDA DF Update (Build ) includes compliance updates for HMDA DF regulation. The Focal Point Report, Comparative File Review, Difference of Means, and Decisioning and Pricing Regression reports have all been updated to support the HMDA DF format. This update can be installed as an upgrade to Version 7.3 (Build ) Who should install This update is optional for institutions using CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz Version 7.3. Where to install This update should be installed on both the SQL Server and Client machine(s). Prerequisites CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.3 is required to install this update. Required permissions This installation requires writing and modification, SQL server access, and registry modifications. Wolters Kluwer recommends that the user running the install have both Windows admin and SQL Server admin login credentials. Required free disk space 1 gigabyte (GB) Approximate install time 10 minutes 3

4 Installation To begin installation of the Fair Lending HMDA DF Update, follow these steps: 1. Download the update locally on the Client or the SQL Server where you are peforming the upgrade. 2. Right-click on the CRAWiz73FLWUpdate.exe file and choose Run as Administrator. The installer displays the Welcome screen. 3. Follow the directions for each of the following screens. 4

5 Welcome Screen Click the Next button: The software displays the SQL Server Name screen. 5

6 SQL Server Name Screen You use the SQL Server Name screen to enter SQL Server and authentication information for the SQL Server running CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz: NOTE: The installer displays this screen only when you are performing the update on the SQL Server. 1. In the SQL server that you are installing to: field, do one of the following: Enter the name of the SQL Server to which you are installing the data: Click the drop-down arrow located at the end of the field to select the Database server from a menu list: 6

7 Click the Browse button: Then select the database server from the resultant dialog box: 2. Choose one of the following authentication options: Use Windows Authentication credentials of current user Use SQL Server Authentication using the Login ID and password below - If you select this option, you must also enter your SQL Server account User Name and Password in the User Name and Password fields. 3. Click the Next button. The software displays the Ready to Install screen. 7

8 Ready to Install the Program Screen You use the Ready to Install screen to begin the installation: Click the Install button. The installer displays the Setup Status screen. 8

9 Setup Status Screen The Setup Status screen displays a progress bar that reports the progress of the installation: When the installation is complete, the installer displays the Setup Complete screen. 9

10 Setup Complete Screen Note: To view a Windows log of the installation process, click the Show the Windows Installer log checkbox. When you exit the installer, Windows displays the log. Click the Finish button. Installation is complete. IMPORTANT: To confirm installation of this update, refer to the following section, Confirming Installation. 10

11 Confirming Installation To confirm installation of the Fair Lending HMDA DF Update, go to Help > About CRA Wiz within the application and confirm the build numbers have been updated to as shown in the screenshot below: Note: After this update has been applied on both the front-end and the back-end, you may notice that the front-end build number ( ) is missing a zero (0) that the back-end build number ( ) contains. This is as-designed and does not indicate there is a problem with the update. If you do not have access to a CRA Wiz client application, below is a SQL Query that can be run to confirm the back-end version has been updated to : use objectstore select value from dbo.properties where property='back-end version' 11
