3 Overview The CRA Wiz 7.0 Quality Edits Update addresses to issues in the application of HMDA quality edits Q002, Q024, and Q066. Additionally, an update will be applied to a CRA Wiz stored procedure that will reduce the amount of free space required for the 2013 Peer Mortgage Data install. Who should install All clients should install this update. It is recommended to be installed, but not required, prior to the submission of 2014 HMDA data. Where to install This update should be applied to the SQL server where CRA Wiz databases are installed. No client or application-side installation is required. Prerequisites CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.0 is required to install this update. To check your CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz version, go to the program menu bar and select Help > About CRA Wiz. Build numbers starting with 70 are acceptable. Required permissions SQL Permission to execute scripts in CRA Wiz databases. Required free space 0.4 MB (megabytes) Approximate install time Approximately 1 minute. 3

4 Updates HMDA Quality Edit Q002 According to the FFIEC's 2014 HMDA edits documentation, the logical trigger for Q002 is as follows: If property type =1 and income $200 thousand, then loan amount should be < $2 million. In CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.0, Q002 is not triggered when Income is blank, which is inconsistent with handling of other similar Quality edits. With the Quality Edits Update applied, Q002 will appear for records where Income is "(none)". Please note that all applications in the scope of this bug are already correctly flagged by edit V330 prior to this update: Tracking number:

In CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.0, Q024 is only applied if Loan Amount is greater than five times Income. HMDA Quality Edit Q066 According to the FFIEC's 2014 HMDA edits documentation, the logical trigger for Q066 is as follows: If rate spread does not = NA, then rate spread should be < 13%.

6 HMDA Quality Edit Q066 According to the FFIEC's 2014 HMDA edits documentation, the logical trigger for Q066 is as follows: If rate spread does not = NA, then rate spread should be < 13%. In CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz 7.0, Q066 appears inconsistently for records where Rate Spread equals NC (not calculated). Following the update, Q066 will always be displayed where Rate Spread equals NC. As with Q002 above, there is a Validity edit that applies to this scenario, V500. Any record that would be impacted by this update will already be flagged with the V500 edit: Tracking number:

7 Database Procedure Maintenance Two recent CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz updates, Version 7.0 and Peer Mortgage Data, have had significant free space requirements that some clients have found difficult to meet. To reduce the free space requirements of updates going forward, a database procedure used to add data to your CRA Wiz server has been updated. The 7.0 update and the Peer Mortgage data update will not be affected by this change. Tracking number:

8 Installation To begin installation of the 7.0 Quality Edits Update, follow these steps: 1. Download the Hotfix. 2. Double-click the QualityEditsUpdate.msi file. The installer displays the Welcome screen. 3. Follow the directions for each of the following screens. 8

9 Welcome Screen Click the Next button: The software displays the SQL Server Name screen. 9

If the installer does not detect SQL Server on your computer, the installer displays the Ready to Install the Program screen. 10

Choose one of the following authentication options: Windows Authentication SQL Server Authentication using Login ID and password below - If you select this option, you must also enter your SQL Server account Login ID (user name) and Password in the Login ID and Password fields. 2. 13 Ready to Install the Program Screen You use the Ready to Install screen to begin the installation: Click the Install button. The installer displays the Setup Status screen. 13

14 Setup Status Screen The Setup Status screen displays a progress bar that reports the progress of the installation: When the installation is complete, the installer displays the Setup Complete screen. 14

15 Setup Complete Screen Note: To view a Windows log of the installation process, click the Show the Windows Installer log checkbox. When you exit the installer, Windows displays the log. Click the Finish button. Installation is complete. 15

16 Confirming Installation Installation of this update can be confirmed in two ways. For procedures on each, refer to the following sections. Confirming Installation in CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz To confirm the install in CRA Wiz and Fair Lending Wiz, follow the steps below. They outline how to generate a Q002 edit that would not have appeared prior to the install. 1) In File Management, open the Mortgage 2004 folder. 2) Right-click on a file and choose Copy. 3) Right-click the white space to the right and choose Paste. 4) Right-click on the newly pasted filed and choose Edit. The software displays the Edit screen Current Record view. 5) Set the following values: Property Type = 1 Loan Amount = 2000 Income = blank (delete any value in the field then click elsewhere in the Edit screen) 6) Click Save, then Edit Check: If the update has installed properly, you will see Q002 listed in your Quality Edits at the bottom of the screen: 16

17 Confirming Installation from the SQL Server To confirm the installation on your SQL Server, ask your DBA to run the T-SQL script below.
