The critical capabilities of having this system is it gives you the ability to control design data created in most leading design packages, enable data transfer bi-directionally between CAD system and Windchill, create enterprise visibility for CAD metadata, design source data and derivative data and allow Windchill to drive design process, changes and configurations. 2 I-DEAS (via TDM) SolidWorks Unigraphics With these integrations comes the robust capability of Windchill managing all parts definition data. Windchill integrates to CAD tools to provide tight linkages to work-inprocess design data. Windchill CAD Integrations create and maintain parts and their relationships and map attributes from CAD files. Visualization for the non-cad user of all of this robust data is also key capability of Windchill that gets embedded with using the work group managers.
